As soon as I heard this song in the movie I knew it was you! It reminded me of "Blue Eyes" from Garden State (my favorite soundtrack of all time, I still listen to so many of those artists!) and then I discovered that Zach Braff wrote and directed both so... makes sense.

Stunning. Absolutely stunning, beautiful, and mesmerizing. This song is emotionally powerful, and transports the listener to another dimension. It does in some ways have a really strong Coldplay sound, and Cary's higher range vocals reminded me of Chris Martin. The song also for some reason, made me think of John Lennon. But the more you listen, the more you hear that this song is distinctively Cary Brothers. I realize that Stardust is co-written, but it has a strong Cary Brothers signature. The intense, emotional, personal, romantic sensitivity; the way he manages to capture and connect with the emotion, tone, meaning, and essence of the characters, story, and film, which seems apparent even without having seen the movie. You just feel it. The way the song is crafted and developed towards a crescendo. The unique vocals, style, and sound. The song's Universal appeal to a wider audience. Stardust seems to have more production, but it really works well, and the arrangement is perfectly suited, and spot on. This entire song is beautifully produced with gorgeous clarity, and the vocals are amazing, with just the right touches of simple, yet complex harmony. And what impresses me, is that Stardust manages to work so perfectly, without a heavy use of lyrics. Because it doesn't need more words. It is a wonderfully written, produced, and performed song, which gets multiple levels of meaning and feeling across with just the right amount of streamlined, simplified lyrics that are carefully chosen, and deeply suited, without needing an abundance of writing. It just works. Stardust resonates, and has so much heart. This song is inspiring, uplifting, and innovative. I don't know much about these things, but in my humble opinion, Stardust deserves an Oscar at the very least. (They have Oscars for 'Best Featured Song In A Film Soundtrack' don't they?) And possibly a Grammy as well. They deserve that recognition. Bravo, well done.
