I work in carpentry and one of my job sites that we just finished was redoing a living room/entry room for a couple that owns probably 200+ books combined, so built in shelves were a must. We ended up building bookshelves AROUND an existing window, so it was a nice depth for extra decorations that have gone to the wife’s sculpture pieces. I gotta admit, when we got pictures of the wall of bookshelves fully packed and surrounding a window looking right out into the greenery of their side yard, I had a fleeting moment of “Caryn and Connie would go nuts for this living room”.

You should challenge yourselves to build a huge house where the majority of what you use has to be with the things that you usually wouldn't, whether that's because you don't like that item or you just don't find much use for it in other builds!

I honestly think a good idea for a challenge would be a build with each room only getting furniture from a different letter. So one room can only have items that start with "A", another only with "B" and so on. It could be either the object names (like bed and books) or the catalog names.
