I hope you all try this out, just a tip I would not recommend this style for swimming if you do the soft braid look, but if you do regular braids swim all you want lol.

Literally I have been following you for years and single handedly you are my reference for my braid styles. I absolutely love your creativity and as a stylist you're ingenuity is inspiring! Question what's your favorite low tension braid style?

I love this🥰 Thank you so much for this comment I needed to see this, I appreciate you for commenting this truly💙 So if I had to choose it would be my short passion twist. Anything short and on a larger size would produce less tension but tension also is factored in by how tightly the hair is being pulled before being braided along with a lot of other factors. A lot of people don’t mention this but tension also comes when your braids grow out too long and start to hang and pull on the hair follicle (especially around the edges) Once that happens I recommend either to remove them or replace them. Also wearing braids in tight buns or pulling and styling them in tight styles also causes excessive tension. In my opinion braided styles can still be low tension as long as you don’t braid too tight, don’t wear the braids styled tightly, be careful with the amount of hair being used per braid and watch out for over manipulation when wearing the style. I say all that to say lol…… a lot of styles can be low tension if cared for properly💙💙💙

This is one of the only reasons why I don't like getting my hair professionally braided. I like that loose braid look, it looks more organic. At the braiding shops, they braid so tightly. I think next time I do box braids I'll specify that I want the length of the braid loose

Just wondering if the braids feel slightly heavy? I wanted to do those soft braids but was worried about them feeling heavy

They for sure have some weight to them especially with the length and texture of this hair. Now I’ve had heavier braids they are not the heaviest. In my opinion they are manageable but I feel like I feel the weight of them more when I wear it all to one side. It feels more balanced when I wear them all pushed to the back. You don’t feel it when worn that way. Thanks for asking this question cause I surely forgot to mention🥰💙💙💙
