I adore you for putting “it isn’t cool how I talked to myself” or similar over your real reaction where you called yourself stupid. Cos yeah, we do that, and yeah it isn’t cool, & you showing that teaches me so much better that a “speak kindly to yourself” poster or whatever. (Though those are awesome too & they help too). I just love your realness, thank you!

I, personally am worse, lol. Spent a lot of time alone the last couple of years, due to my own issues lol. I've really noticed that the talking to myself and calling myself stupid, moron, idiot, ect lol has become a regular occurrence. Nvm yelling at inadiment objects, ie TV, YT, ect lol

As a fellow Victorian spooky lovin'creative soul and mould maker I understand the nightmare of losing your original casting piece 😭 BuUuUuUt what I do is use the first casting as the second mould form by changing and perfecting the piece, until I'm happy and then I will create the actual mould!!! But as far as plaster goes I use a one to one to one of Durham's water putty, plaster of Paris and fast stone casting powder! But I love using my broken castings in my pieces or use them to create builder moulds, as in moulds I can use to customize and bring elements of the original casting into accent pieces so instead of the piece being 12 in I can get it to what ever size I want outwards!!! Lol Also a great way to get rid of the bubbles is.....🤦......a mini pocket panty rocket with remote control!!!! 🤣😂🤣That way you can vibrate the moulds without dropping it onto the table just place it under the board your moulds are resting on and flip the switch ☺️ because they are a heck of a lot cheaper than anything "professional"and they are sold EVERYWHERE!!! Good lord I'm sorry for the ridiculously LoOoOonG comment but I adore BAT'S, RAVEN'S and SLOTHS💗 but for some reason, I never thought about turning them into glorious victorian architectural element's!!! Most people's brains see them as Halloween decorations, but I have ravens and a bat out year round!!! BuUuUuUt AnYwAyS I love THIS and I am going to start on my own wee bat piece and when I'm done, I'll be tagging the heck out of you, along with your video, giving you 100% of the inspirational credit, lol because THIS creative soul, is going nuts right now, so I'm going to start mapping out the pieces and I can't wait to see how it turns out!!!! EeEeEeEeEeK I'm SoOoOoOoO FRIKKIN excited and YES she'll be named after YOU!!! My page is called "The Gothic Farmhouse" ⚜️ on Facebook and thegothicfarmhouse1 on Instagram annnnnd I haven't posted anything in awhile because my life has been CrAzY🙃 but now I will have the time to create more and I just know😏 that the soon to be newest member 🦇 of my Gothic Farmhouse family, is going to fit right in! XOXOXO from Florida CUTIEPATOOTIE 🤗 I adore everything you made and I sincerely appreciate you sharing your mistakes side by side of your success, because it gives the newbies like me, permission to stumble and learn, knowing what is waiting for us,if we just get up and keep trying because, failure only happens, when YOU give up on YOURSELF and you stay down and THIS woman is done staying down!💃😘😊 🙏4✌️ AlWaYs sweet beautiful girl ❣️

Awesome! I agree that the vaguely uterine shape just adds an extra layer to the awesome. Not exactly spooky, but I did design and embroider myself a uterus that my friend has named The Kramper, with evil eye-centred flowers for ovaries, the Fallopian tubes are holding knives, and it looks like it is angrily vomiting menstrual blood. It is an homage to endometriosis and how sucktastic it is. It pleases me greatly.

It turned out awesome! You are so talented at sculpting. Also good for you for continuing to try to make plaster work for you and not giving up on the project or your abilities. I find it SO discouraging when my projects don't go "well" and am wayyy too hard on myself, it can really take the joy out of creating. I am slowly getting better at being kinder to myself, also at just being more fair and realistic. It is hard work, but we are worth the effort!

I had a thought when watching the part of painting the plasters. It might be easier to pour the paint into a pan and dip them in one side. Once dried, dip the other. Use a detailed brush to clean up where you were holding it and and spots that need attention or were missed. That way you can do several in quick succession.

Plaster molds were used for making decorative pieces for buildings. There is lots of information about plaster online and in the library. I used to work in a museum. I got to restore old Victorian plaster molds for decor. They have the artist signature on each mold and a number for recording them. They also sculpted parts by hand. Some artists used plaster blocks molded from the plaster and used chisel and hammer to sculpt large sculptures like you see in France.

Halfway thru n dont know if you figured out that you add the plaster to water not water to plaster. You slow add your plaster little at a time to water with out stirring till all plaster has been absorbed. . No stirring Cuz stirring activates the setting process.

Be that old it's funny because I look like it took a long time to build, so do you keep it or do you not? That's the word question for my answer. I was just asking because I was thinking right now.
