Growing up in Tulsa, Casa Bonita was one of my favorite things. We went there a bunch in the 70's and 80's. Last time I went was in about 1999 for my little girl's birthday. Good times. I think we're going to the one in Denver after Christmas now that's it's opened back up.

I worked at the Casa Bonita in Denver for 4 years back in the late 80's early 90's. In 1990 My bro and I took a trip and ate at the other 3, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and Little Rock Arkansas. That was the most fun job I ever had!

Awesome memories with my family.. grew up in Bixby and we'd make what seemed to be a far away trip to 21st at Sheridan to this magical place! We always took the whole family including cousins, uncles and aunts and we raised that table flag many times... thank you for sharing this video..U put a smile on my now 56 year old face!! God Bless

You are very welcome! I do have more Tulsa memories to share. Bell's, Tulsa State Fair, etc. I just have to get them from video tape to DVD to get them on you tube. It is a slow process but I will eventually get them on you tube for all to see and enjoy. Thank You for watching!

lol..thanks for posting this. This was my favorite restaurant when I was a kid and I actually worked there in 1991-1992 when I was in high school (go Sandites!). Your video brought back a lot of memories...mostly of people raising their flags to ask for additional items from their deluxe dinners.

I loved Casa Bonita ! 1995 I was a 5th grade honor student , as long as I kept my grades up I got whatever I wanted . I got to go to the fair a few times that year & Casa Bonita .. wonderful memories with my mom 🤍 Thank you for uploading this !

My mother-in-law worked there for three decades. I only remember going there a couple of times in the early 90s. We lived in Jenks and didn't get out that way very often. This was fun to watch though.

I miss it SOOOO MUCH!!! This was the BEST restaurant I have ever been to in my life!!! PLEASE, someone buy the old location or any big, empty space in Promenade Mall and remake all if this!!! I guarantee you, you will see get back your investment in less than a year!!! I'll even be happy with one in another city up to 250 miles away from me! Just PLEASE make this happen again!!! 😭😭😭 Denver is way too far for me to travel.

I sure do miss casa Bonita my uncle was the builder of this restaurant when I was just a child while they were working on the cave in the waterfall all the other cool stuff in there I was riding a tricycle around inside there. I remember the treasure chest room. Sure do miss it oh man I love their food. One of the best restaurants Tulsa ever had don't know why it failed out of all these years

Casa Bonita was one-of-kind. I went with my now deceased father twice before and after the OK Freewheel Bike Ride (1996?) The food was exquisite, and the place was like a maze, so many little alcoves and enclaves. A beautiful waitress called me a "cute white boy", which was a big deal for me coming out of an awkward stage at 15. Pure nostalgia, thank you! +1 Like

Thank you for posting this.it gives me perspective on why the one in denver survived.The one in denver had just enough to hang on but all of them were great ideas.Now that trey and Matt from South Park bailed out the one in denver they have a chance

A tear ran down my cheek while watching this. I so miss this place! The best Mexican food and all you could eat! Also, who goes to Casa Bonita and orders fajitas?!?! The deluxe dinner is the only thing to order when going to Casa Bonita. Whenever we had family in from out of state, we would always treat them to Casa Bonita. What I would do for another chance to eat here again!

I'm from Texas and have never been to a casa Bonita I looked up online and it said the one in Colorado was temporarily closed I don't know if that's correct but I would love to go there I know we have great Mexican food here in Texas I'm just hoping its as good in Colorado

We had the opportunity of visiting the Casa Bonita in Colorado many years ago. It was bigger than the Tulsa location and the food was similar. I heard that the Colorado Casa Bonita has new owners. Not sure if they are fully opened yet due to Covid but hopefully you will have a chance to visit it someday. Thanks for checking out my video of the old Casa Bonita in Tulsa, OK!

Yes..in the 70's and 80's it was packed with people. You are right...it had slowed down quite a bit when this video was made in the mid 90's. You can tell that by the fact that no one but us was on the line getting our meal that night. That was one reason why I did a long video of the inside knowing that it would eventually close at some point and I wanted to hold onto all the good memories we had made there through the years.
