Casa 185 kit with 60 mm stroke crankshaft... Would that work? A lot of job to make it work?

Does the piston require spacer washer con rod to piston, considering getting this kit looks good, great video.thanx

Nope haven't seen those since the 80s no modern engines use them ?

Thanx for your reply, I suppose in use with a gp crank which is shimmed, would be ok, it’s I have a sx crank new, which I intend using and has a fair amount of end float on the Conrad. But thanx for answering my query, very enlightening video,

@@paulwatson2961 i would never use an SX or LI crank in any rebuild ? it will fail 100% sure of that ....

rebuild with all new parts .... gp crank and change flywheel to gp dont throw money away by cutting corners ........

By taking away material from the gudgeon/piston area, are you not increasing crank case volume slightly, thus reducing “pump compression” or is this a nominal effect?
@TheSteelweasel5 жыл бұрын
there are two types of two stroke engines old which relies on crank case compression , modern relies on expansion chamber to suck charge in to the combustion chamber thats why modern engines have large volume in crank case and transfers , but you need to run an expansion chamber on this type of engine .

Would you say this is plug and play like casa say it it is or do I have to upgrade the lot to gp crank . May as well got for an rb kit.
@TheSteelweasel4 жыл бұрын
my friend anyone who is not using a gp crank is asking for problems, never put new parts on old cranks you are throwing money down the drain ....if you are still running the crank from 1966 with unknown mileage this is not plug into anything? its a simple kit thats easy to set up so plug and play but not on old parts the just stupid ?
@russellblevins7064 жыл бұрын
@@TheSteelweasel stupidly I had a new li crank fitted 100 miles ago.

@russellblevins7064 жыл бұрын
@@TheSteelweasel so do think the 185 would be ok on the li crank. Casa seem to think. Brilliant videos Steve. Keep em coming.
