My family had a cabin north of Cle Elum in the 60s and 70s. I have tons of memories of driving from our home off Highway 18 to the cabin and home again after several days. Being able to bypass North Bend on the highway expansion was a huge improvement. We were always stuck along with everybody else trying to get home going through the one stoplight in town.

The composition of roadside trees in Seattle is similar to that in Japan. That's why it didn't feel strange, unlike Los Angeles. Thank you!

@@AdventureEveryDay 54:09 That's the exit you took to get to the seahawks and mariners games. Did you know the seahawks defeat the 49ers during NFL Sunday Ticket? The score is 20-17 as I checked it. Last Sunday, the seahawks are playing at Levi's Stadium for the niners. I thought the cardinals are playing at Lumen Field today. Lumen Field has changed its name from Centurylink Field until 2020, and Centurylink Field has changed its name from Qwest Field until 2011. It was cool that cardinals had a fancy look for the seahawks. The seahawks and cardinals are doing a rematch in the next two weeks at State Farm Stadium. The 49ers and seahawks already had a rematch at Lumen Field six weeks ago for Thursday Night Football. Seahawks won on last Sunday's game.

I live in a small town a half hour from Olympia, been to most of the cascade mtns. Grew up 40 min from. St Helens and was here for eruption in 1980. In fact my family and I visited literally one week before. Mt Rainier is a stunning park. Baker as well. Know less about Adams. baker, st Helens and Rainier are known to be in native lore "the three sisters." Rainier the biggest but most quiet and destructive, St Helens the most restless (I'll say) and can't remember baker.

Mt. Rainier is very beautiful, such a prominent peak and was covered in snow when we were in the area. It had to be a scary time in the area when Mt. St Helens was erupting!

Renton? RENTON?? Well, diggeddie-dangeddie; we (I mean, you did) MISSED the opportunity to visit the Jimi Hendrix Monument and Memorial Mausoleum (where he's in his eternal repose) located at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, there!! I think there's crypts for his Father and Brother there, also.

This is awesome. Nick Zentner who teaches Geology at Central Washington University in Ellensburg Washington has done a whole set of videos on the Missoula floods and how they shaped States from Idaho to Washington and to see it from this perspective is just great. He has a website if anyone in interested in the geology of where we rode today. :D Thank you Friend.
