Extraordinaire patchwork de musiques de sereine solitude. AbsolumentFantastique. Je l'ai écouté des centaines de fois sous le label New World Music

This Album, for me, was the catalyst for a 'transpersonal' experience when i was twenty two. I had read Thoreau's 'Walden' a year before which inspired me to really look at nature, as John Lennon did, at every different colour, shade and movement, of every leaf, cloud, tree and flower, every moment I was outside. I didn't know at the time but what i was actually doing was mindfulness. After one year of this, i put on 'Cascade' a friend had given me on a cassette tape, while i was driving (on the A12!) and my eyes were opened. The scales fell from me, and for the first time, i could really 'see' nature. Transcendent. That awareness did not fade, but stayed with me for seven years. I long to see that way again. 'When the doors of perception are cleansed, nature can be seen as it truly is, infinite.' (Blake) This album is a masterpiece. Thank you Terry Oldfield

Ah...this album and music has something so utterly mysterious and beautiful which words cannot convey. A true masterpiece in every way possible. My fav track of all-time starts at exactly 6.00 minutes. I could sware that 'god' himself played this piece :-) Also check out the track at 28.45 :-) Also 32.55 such a solitary haunting flute cutting its way deep into the heart...from this point on the album takes a magical turn into something totally unknown ....deep...acheing beautiful...solitary...aloneness...utter freedom ...almost dark and then comes back into the light :-) Pure magic !!

My one gripe is this cover is no where near as good as the Andrew forest painting on the new world company CD.
