Cascade Water Supply pipe tee locations. We recently completed some works for a customer to resolve a leak in the front garden of their property. This involved a joint supply pipe which served multiple properties from one stoptap. This has its own complications because when shutting off the water, 4 properties went without, so this had to be managed on site.
We first completed some leakage detection around the property to locate the issue. This supply pipe was a lead water main pipe. We provided a water pipe replacement cost to the customer which was agreed rather than fixing the leak for it to move further up at a later date. A full replacement works out more sensible with a lead supply. We replaced the full length and kept the neighbours supplied with connections. We replaced this with new MDPE 25mm supply pipe via impact moling.
Once completed, we checked all the water was back on, at all neighbours and that there was no further leaks on the network and backfilled and reinstated all areas fully.
