Good call you guys are doing the right thing is the engines bad your chance the transmission has issues as well it's a shame the previous owner in case better care of this case tractor. I totally enjoy watching your videos you sound like a person who had training in this field. Have a good day doc

I have a question Doc? Is it ok to back flush from the injector rail back toward the pump if you get particles causing misfiring, but they"re too big to get in the injectors? I thought it should be ok to maybe shoot air through after unhooking from the injection pump to clear lines. I guess the pump itself would have to be taken to a pro for inspection. Good video and explanations about injector clogging by the way. Have a good planting season. I know good filter replacement scheduling would be a great plus.

I don't know about putting air backwards through to the fuel rail I would if possible disconnect the injectors and just run some fuel lines to clear the system. And change the fuel filters if necessary.

You can't stress enough the importance of having injectors ( in either gas or diesel engines) rebuilt by reputable professionals. They're precision parts operating at very high pressure. The smallest mistake can be disastrous. I'm fortunate to have a great shop located about 45 minutes away so I can take a set (I prefer to have them all done at once) right to them and pick them up a couple days later.

It's a shame that this ones engine isn't good, seems like a nice rig otherwise. Can't save them all I suppose.

Between the purchase price, the cost of parts and labor it came it to more than the resell value. They also have another 1030 and other tractors they can use parts of it.
