At 5:45, why not push it out with the front bucket?

im new at operating my ford backhoe, but why do you get the wheels so far up off the ground? I like to be close to the ground to be honest.

Those old Case controls with 3 handles and 2 pedal swing cylinders are really difficult to operate I grew up using 2 stick control machines. Is the extendahoe a 4th handle?

To me the backhoe sounds and runs great just like my 1550b turbo jcb backhoe which has more power than this backhoe.

Why the hell would you jack the machine that far off the ground? I have operated equipment for years and never have done this. That puts a good deal of strain on the frame of the tractor.
@19Photographer769 жыл бұрын
It would have been much quicker to turn around and scoop it out with the loader. Sorry, too painful to watch very long...
@cyberbiker06 жыл бұрын
i can tell that you've never had to dig stumps out of the woods before. maybe no stumps at all. those buggers are buried in as solid as a rock - sometimes grown around big rocks. these machines are very powerful & do the job of many man-hrs, but no way can any machine just drive up to a tree stump & pluck them out like a bush or a weed. 1 tree took 2 days to dig up, even with using a Case 850 skidsteer loader w/ 4-n-1 bucket, which is bigger that this backhoe.

Ever heard of chains? When the stump is loose just wrap a chain around it and pick it up, much quicker.

We should get this guy a grease gun for his birthday. this tractor has been dry for a LOOONG time. (maybe a pack of new grease nipples as well)

those stumps are big oak stumps. i haven't found any of them yet that are lightweight at that size :) they are a handful even after they are out of the holes and when i am using the loader to push them into the woods
@dickdog7514 жыл бұрын
@box15c22 because of the giant hole that was left from the stumps i had already pulled out. plus the stump i just got loose was no cooperating as you can see in the video

Yeah, you didn't HAVE to raise it up that high, but it's yours, do it however you want! You won't hurt anything.... Some people just HAVE to find something wrong with the way other people do things hahaha

I’m sure by now you leave the brake off, just have the bucket in float and push/pull yourself around with the hoe. Unless it’s still not greased then you’re probably changing pins and greasing! 😁

squeaky squeaky ...those slew pins are begging for a shot of lube. i can tell that we are both self-taught HEO's. heavy equipment is a blast to operate & even learning the ropes is cool. i say this as a safety tip though, i would keep the center of gravity as low as possible by not extending that machine as high as possible. other than that, everything's a go. have fun & be safe.
