Thanks, I’m trying to share and inform but not bore everyone so I never know exactly how much details to include. 👍

Nice purchase for the farm Mike, much easier than bale bucking. 👍💪🙏

Thanks, hoping for just a little more time with the kids during the summer swimming instead of sweating!

Even last Summer, prices were up BUT compared to today, glad you got it when you did. Small bales are nice for kids to handle and feed with but they require a lot of physical labor to get into the barn. Handling and feeding round bales with the tractor is easier and safer with a rowdy bull.

The details about the baler helped too, older guy purchased new, used on a small farm, gently used and stored indoors! I think for now we plan to do half small squares to keep satisfying customer orders but the rest will be rolled for us!

Always store it with the pins in to take the tension off the belts. There's pins on either side.

It made a good looking bale. You shoud get a bale ramp for it.

I just bought one at auction for $800. Looks like new, hopefully no problems.

I’m happy with it, made almost 200 bales this summer and no problems.

How many sets of remotes does your baler require and what hp tractor are you using? I’m running a 60 hp Kubota but I’m limited to one set of remotes at the moment. Not sure how many of these are hydraulic vs electric tie though.
@zawadafarms7402 Жыл бұрын
We need two remotes, one for lifting the back gate and one for the tying. Our JD 1650 is 65 horsepower but I was told that baler only needed 45 hp.

@@zawadafarms7402 Appreciate the reply. I’d imagine my tractor would do fine. I think I could add a diverter to the loader valve much cheaper than adding factory style remotes if it came to that. Good luck this upcoming hay season.

You know I thought about using my smaller tractor too but it only has one outlet. I looked up a multiplier on amazon, one outlet turns into two with the push of a button. $300

I have the same baler in Heston, it has electric tie. Check bearings for heat occasionally, I had one fail and things started to burn. Luckily I had some water with and in me.

try to rake two together, you well make a square bale easier. Also throw the twine arm into the hay as your moving,then stop, back up as your tie the bale. I had one like it , but a 5x5.5

Did you use a monitor or the sight gauge? I read in the manual that there is a noisemaker alarm to signal full but I was too chicken to wait for it! Does it exist?
@randykrochak11852 жыл бұрын
I just used the gauge on the baler! The model I used disengaged the pickup when full. No monitor.

What’s the case combine or threshing machine?
@zawadafarms74022 жыл бұрын
Just our really old small grain combine, one of these days we’ll fire it up and film it, just in the yard!
