The "Grinding noise" could just be the Def/add blue pump priming. Our Maxxum 125 has a hum/grind to it when starting and shutting off the tractor. We hear it more once you turn the tractor off for a minute or two. Greetings from a beef farmer in New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada!

Cold start, rev her up slightly so battery doesn’t cut out again?
