Some ground level service issues with OYO rooms - Fake reviews on apps Shabby room designs Most properties are not well maintained Staff not very formal and trained Very remote locations with no proper map navigation Washrooms not clean Many hotels deny the booking and ask for a fresh booking instead (not a personal experience) Oyo needs to fix ground level service issues to bounce back. Customers can spend 2-3k for a day stay but hygiene and service is important for a good experience.

Worst customer support, hotels don’t give a fuck, they charge you whatever they want. If you are stuck and have no other option, you’ll overpay. Or if you want to cancel, you won’t get any refund. It took me a year to get refunds of 4-5 bookings.

Used to Work here at Oyo... They had wrong hiring and expansion policies.. creating a issue for employees (They laid of 12000 employees) in 2019 - 2020 before Covid... Oyo hotels very often refuse bookings and ask for more or just reject your bookings. with these issues OYO will never come back. The reality of OYO is that they treat the hotel owners like cash cows. They don’t pay the hotel owners on time and charge very high commission from us(hotel owners).
