It’s a story as old as time, i keep buying them, but the burrs are so bad, the edges are like a saw blade. Personally I’m going to focus on my Buck collection for a while, branch out into some other brands. I love Case and will probably still collect them, but I’m going to have to see them first. Absolutely beautiful knife brother Harold. Im with you 100% The sharpening can definitely be stepped up. Some are absolutely spot on and others you can clearly tell either the technician at the factory either doesn't care or is still a bit inexperienced. At the end of the day I see on the daily the absolutely carelessness of a vast majority of people at work where we are assembling thousands of dollars worth of engines where they pay us a very very good hourly wage. So i can only imagine what goes on inside the case factory assembling pocketknives. It is a very sad time were living in where people just dont care but expect to be paid 100 bucks a hour. Anyway great video brother. Respect to you for speaking on the matter. God bless buddy and hope yall get some deers.

Great review. I agree with your opinions 💯 The toothy edges and burrs out of the box is sometimes absolutely hideous. I got really lucky on my 6375 it was a 95 out of 100 only reason I couldn’t give it 100 was mine needed spa treatment out of box as well but she’s walking and talking now. Great review brother!!

It is a sweet looking knife, i like the darker side with more orange but that is just me. From what i see on alot of channels dealing some Case knives is like paying for a Porsch 911 and getting a Volkswagon Beetle instead lol. You get my point lol. I do agree with the you, you shouldn't have to clean up the edge of the blades. That is ridiculous that they can't do that before it is boxed up. Very nice looking bone and I love a 75 stockman. I completely agree with your assessment. Aside from horrible edges on all my Case knives my biggest complaint is unpolished tangs and scratches and blade rub marks out of the box. Canoe I just got is going back to Case to fix horrible blade wobble on both blades.

Yeah, I agree on yours. You got one side that looks a little bit prettier than the other side, but still both beautiful sides. I don’t know. The only thing that ever really bothers me is Blade rub or if the blades loose but other than that, I’m not bothered by any colors. But hope you’re doing well. Hope my girl Abby’s doing well. Jason’s is the same way with the rough blades. Case has been slacking the last few knives we have gotten from Case I have had to send back and get another one. The blades rub and wasn’t sharp. I have the Barlow in smoky Valley sunset it is very nice color on mine dark brown blending into orange nice bolster stamp. The finish is very good on mine and very good snap, however the blades were rough and not sharp. I had to make several passes on my ceramic rod to get both blades sharp. I bought it for the 1095 carbon steel and handle color. I was going to get the large stockman but changed my mind and I am not buying anymore case knives the quality is unacceptable for the price on most of them it is always a surprise buying them. I have a few of them and that is enough. I will stay with my GEC collection and buy those when I can.

Beautiful knife and in my opinion the color of these are not the same as that first batch year or so ago. Every case I’ve bought I have to run the edge about 3 swipes a side on my ceramic cross sticks that has put the edge on I should get out the box 👍👊💯

Great pattern, usual woes with edges so you know its a case even without the shield, sometimes i think their best move is to leave the sharpening to customer because they have made a mess in construction. Pretty handles only go so far, i often wonder about the future of case. Many knives from far away make their way to this country with better f&f, blade action and edges. I still love case, i just wonder where it went. The knife looks great and i'm sure you will get it all squared away, but i agree you shouldn't be buying a project out of the box

She purty!! I just got a Kershaw Culpepper ( China) and fit finish it’s great but I think they put it together on the beach. Man it’s gritty monster and not sharp at all. I know it’s not a case and it’s China knife, but RR out of box is way better. Thanks for sharing.

Happy New Year brother. I haven't bought many new Casee knives either. The coloring is way too inconsistent for me. My Purple Barnboard #18 Stockman is basically Black. The reason I didn't send it back was that everything else was perfect on the knife. The PB&J #18 and the Sea Dragon #18 I received were both terrible. I would have sent that 75 back. I can't tolerate having to put up with any negatives on a knife that costs close to $100.

Well, Brother Harold! The most recent 75's I have and you were responsible for the yaller one, are purty good in regard to F&F. Typical burr edge on both however. After a little ceramic work and stropping got em' good enough to go until a full sharpen takes place. Typical blunt tips as well, which I'll get around to correcting. The fact remains that I personally feel Case relies on folks accepting what they send out and also those who are collecting rather than using them as the cutting tool they're designed to be. Case knives today, in my experience, just dont have the walk and talk of the Case pocket knives of yesteryear. I've kicked the tires on HUNDREDS of Case pocket knives in my 61 years, and I make this statement confidently and void of any shame. At any rate, I still use and tote Case pocket knives, however, I know they can and SHOULD be better. Another soild video, my man! God bless ya!

I don't think you're nitpicking. I have not had good luck with the couple of brand-new case knives I have had and several others I just held. It is unacceptable on their part in my opinion. Buck knives consistently come nearly perfect. What is Case excuse?

I love the older Case knives so much but the newer Case as well as the other makers are doing just do not seem to be finished out as well, the Rosecraft line to me is much better finished but so many of their patterns are so non traditional they do not perk my interest as much as a more traditional trapper or stockman or jackknife style but their Barlows are nice, but I buy the Rosecraft for two reasons, the pricing is affordable and they do finish them out so nice, but they have never made a good old “Biggun” like a hunter or large stockman. That Case Stockman is a beautiful knife. As an after thought my Rosecraft knives haveALL come sharp out of the box and I own maybe 12-15 of them plus I have bought several more to gift to others. For 90 dollars a 6.5 is not acceptable I would expect on a less costly knife but Rough Riders are much better on their finish work

Mine has near white edges on bone, play in all of the blades and all of the blades had a burr I needed to strop. Tired of losing the lottery with Case knives. Say what you want about Chinese made knives but makers like Rosecraft and Rough Ryder are hitting it out of the park with fit and finish for half or third of the price.
