This is a beautiful watch Tim. Instead of trying to do too much, it keeps it simple and classy with an eye on the details. Love the font and minute track. Also like the sizing and the lugs.

Decagonal caseback and a Boninchi style crown reminds me of the François Borgel cases of the Patek Phillipe, Vacheron, Movado and Doxa's of the late 30s - 50s. Absolute Classic.

I would like to see that watch in an in-depth review. The minute track on the inside of the indices is a classic look and frees up the eye to appreciate the indices. I like what I will call the inner dial. I would like to see " live " the crystal and what they have done with it. Yes this is priced at the top end of "budget" watches and the low end of "expensive" watches but it is not yet another diver, field , chrono etc :it is rather unique, maybe in the same category as a pole router? Great choice of watch for a review. Richard

That "4" is present on many 60's watches. My old Prim has that. Oris Big Crown has that. The 0, 6, and 8 are the numerals where the unique font comes forward. I guess they wanted an unique twist on the classic.

I keep seeing this pop up here and there and I am still not quite convinced this precise design required reviving. Of course, that is a criticism that could be brought against many revival designs. One notable difference that I prefer on the original is the curved printed text. Only the brand name retains that currently. I do like the 'short seconds' (like 47zero recently) adding an infrequently seen creative option. I also think here the short hour hand works fine thanks to the graduated inner seconds ring, meaning precise indication is retained, however you lose a little of that with the minute hand. Personally I find the gold-brown version most immediately appealing, because it leans into warmth and softness and that corresponds well to the warm blanket of the overt vintage presentation. Personally I probably would have liked to see one or two elements that also make the design more of the now. That would have made it more interesting to me.

Pity to have to be lumbered with a mechanical movement when buying a new watch. Seems unnecessary. It’s a really weird phenomenon all these people being prepared to buy them .

Cool indices. Super boring dial material. And the highly undesirable closed case back, and ya got a lack luster design, a disappointment.
