His analogy is partly incorrect, but he isn’t wrong entirely. Using a car is sort of a necessity for most people, so they’re forced to drive a car again. Ranking a whole chain as “bad” because you got food poisoning at *one* of their restaurants is still not the best take though. The food poisoning wasn’t due to the chain as a whole, it was due to the cook. Now it would be different if the whole chain was known for food poisoning, but this was an out-of-the-ordinary incident, the same thing probably wouldn’t have happened at one of their other locations, or maybe just even on a different day of the week at that same place.

That doesnt mean you won't ever eat fast food again, just you won't eat at the same place. In a similar way, getting into a car crash might show that a specific road is dangerous and full of incompetent drivers. Therefore you might try to avoid the road rather than not driving altogether
