The difference between pizza and pasta is that no matter what you put on pizza, it will always taste just about the same. Pasta has way more flavor variations and dishes, even if you account for switches out tomato sauce for something like pesto. Then you're even getting into warm and cold like pasta salads versus just again, cheese bread and (usually) tomato sauce with some small sprinklings.

It's simply better than chicken Alfredo. I would honestly rather eat plain Alfredo over chicken Alfredo. The texture of the chicken doesn't match the Alfredo, and most of the time, the chicken has almost no flavor. Shrimp Alfredo, on the other hand, matches with each other well, and the shrimp actually can absorb more of the flavor better than the chicken can. Especially since overall, overcooked shrimp solos overcooked chicken, no debate
