This is a very good explanation. But we have three grammatical nouns (masculine, feminine and neutral) and a plural form. And all these words have their own form in cases... Of course, it is not easy for students who do not speak Russian to remember all this. but it's possible!
@LopsideMakes Жыл бұрын
I don’t beat myself up over it, and sometimes I slur the ends of my words a tiny bit so its hard to tell what case I’m using, and native speakers can tell from context a little bit. 👀 I’m learning though, and trying to get over the embarrassment that comes with speaking a language I’m not comfortable with yet.

it may seem difficult, but even young children use cases correctly, because it is easy to get used to if you are constantly listening to Russian language. In 1st grade, kids study cases and questions to them, so it’s not as hard as it looks.

@@Verbalaesthet In Russian the dative case can be used both with and without prepositions (those that take the dative case are rare though). The locative case is called "prepositional" because it can only be used with prepositions (a word in the locative case without preposition makes no sense).

And if the Cases weren't enough; you have Verbs that change form depending on how you intend to proceed---or not. Plus, gendered language. On and on. The arbitrary, silly, built-in complexity is maddening. And paralyzing. But still I go on. The hopelessness never quite stops my effort to learn, but it's tough going on without hope. I guess I love the language despite it all, even though I expect to wind up, in the end, not having gotten anywhere.

I have yet to find a text book that is well organized. It's strange to me, because I have studied Japanese and Korean and there are many well written and organized text books. It made learning easy. @lubneko Жыл бұрын
Нет, именно "воде". "О" добавляется в школьной программе для более простого понимания детьми. Если бы "о" было обязательной частью предложного падежа, мы бы говорили не "он плавает в воде", а "он плавает в о воде", что не является правильным вариантом.
