I’m a retired nurse that worked for years in nursing homes….2 good ones…left when one had horrible staff and results from the state inspections. The MAIN thing that will keep ppl safe in nursing homes is a daily visit if possible from family. If the staff know you are checking, they treat the patient better and you can find out about his or her care first hand. There are good ppl that work there, but you have to be an advocate for your loved one. Even the good ones overlook things and also don’t know the pts likes and dislikes like family. Food for thought…good luck sir in your recovery. Rehabs are mostly a lot better. The pts generally have their mind and there are more ppl like therapists in and out of the pts rooms…more eyes help when a person’s condition changes also.

I have the same frustrating thoughts. Being so intimate with our healthcare system due to a chronic illness, most doctors/nurses etc don’t care. 90% of them. To put it simply, if their loved one or their own health was suffering as many people who come to them for help and care are suffering, there would be no stopping them to find answers. Our healthcare system is disturbing and deadly. It needs to change. Money should NEVER be the reason why people do not seek care, receive care, or are helped and many times, saved from a terribly painful death. This needs to change. Education is not sufficient for our healthcare workers. Many are incredibly ignorant. But more importantly, they lack heart and compassion for the people who depend on them. They’re lazy, inefficient, gossipy, and callous. It’s just the truth.
@tinajoerossignol7 ай бұрын
@Katiee0592 The whole reason we have government health care is do that people will seek medical care. Instead, people who are on government health care tend to be treated as nothing more than leaches and medical experiments, test subjects. Now it doesn't matter what insurance you have, we're all being treated the same way.

A former caregiver helped herself to my mother’s money before my mother went into a nursing home with dementia. Once I figured this out, I reported it to the firm she worked for and they said they had noticed that this caregiver had been showing increased interest in being assigned to go to my mother’s home, and they had cut her hours back. She went to court, and the money was recently paid back and court costs paid. My mother passed away not knowing any of this happened. This woman was vetted and it still happened. I think the theft started almost from the beginning, in small amounts so I wouldn’t notice. I think my mother’s dementia made it easy for the caregiver to get her trust. Family members need to watch a vulnerable loved one’s finances and welfare when a caregiver is involved.

32:00 This guy... he testifies that a year before Lynn died he saw her sitting there with a bottle of vodka and a bottle of visine. Seems pretty obvious his role was just to back up her story, but they forgot about making sure the timelines matched.

I guess it would depend on when it was that she gave that fake story. Either way it’s total BS. However, the timelines could still match up. @@bethmackins2433 Yeah, that's my point. At 29:34, Jessy says "she was doing it for two months at least". Jessy explains the visine thing as something Lynn started doing a couple months before she died. But then this guy at 31:10 was called in to back up Jessy's story. The problem was that he admitted the last time he was in Lynn's place was a year before her death... but he also said he saw her bottles of vodka and visine right there. So Jessy, who sees Lynn all the time is saying she started mixing her vodka with visine two months before her death, but this guy claims he saw her doing it a year before her death. Exactly!! I would NEVER imagine my ex husband, when we divorced, because we got along better once we divorced, and I was shocked to find out he was molesting our 5 yr old daughter when he had her for visitation! He did that for a full yr and when I found out I went directly to the police department and he went to prison, he even admitted to me that he did it, but I was in shock and questioned a lot of my life because out of all the men that I have dated I would have staked my life on him never doing such a thing. Ppl have secrets, and no one can say that they know, for sure, what a person is capable of especially before they met.

The defense claims that Lynn wanted Jessy to have all her money, so that Jessy wasn't stealing from Lynn. But that contradicts Lynn's will, which is her actual legal final wishes... and in which she left only half her money to Jessy, half to the other kid. So no, Lynn did not want Jessy to have all of her money (but it's what Jessy wanted.)

what gets me is that most of these defense attorneys who are relatively unknown get these defendants that they know are guilty but still defend them hoping (in my opinion) to make a name for themselves. i get that everyone (and it's not by my choice) deserves legal representation but when do these attorney's sacrifice their own morals to make a buck, being an attorney used to be a solid profession but now it's mostly about getting coverage or money.

Fear not..when there is not evidence...they will always "find" some...👍..I hate it when they say it's "suspicious" when someone lawyers up...it's absolutely stupid not to and there is this stigma that having counsel makes you look guilty...no it shows common sense...I get so sick of detectives saying "oh he looked nervous when we accused him"....WELL DUH....I was questioned about a very serious felony...and guess what I was NERVOUS when they dropped the bombshell on me even as a innocent man....just stop with that plz...

@AidaShawJ.D. first, that's not how it works in this country. Second, you could watch it just the same from the same exact channel, in just an upload that's older. Third, call it a first world problem if you must, but seeing a new upload and getting excited. For about 30 seconds till I realize it's a repost. All I'm saying is that that isn't fun.

If she was never given a diagnosis for her complaints, then why did she have so many prescriptions?

To put a Band-Aid on her symptoms. Some antidepressants are frequently prescribed off-label for pain management, migraine prevention, menopause, neuropathy, etc. Gabapentin is prescribed for a plethora of symptoms. Etc., etc., etc....

This is a good argument for longer sentences and better supervision of parolees. Where was her parole officer when all of this was going on? Also, will Lyn’s other heir be able to get his half of the estate? Because Jesse stole from him too.

In the Martha Moxley case, I think an important part was left out. I think she was sexually assaulted, and when the suspect heard that DNA was in vogue, he hurriedly said he had masturbated in a tree, or something like that.

There is absolutely reasonable doubt in the second case. There is literally 0 evidence tying him to the crime, besides the fact that he was married to her. They find the one crank who somehow, despite no other forensic medical examiner being able to determine anything, can say for sure that she was killed at 330 am 40 years ago from reading a file?!? That should have been laughed out of court. The fact that they didn’t find anyone else’s dna in the house doesn’t mean Jack, again it’s been 40 years. These cops are out of control, they just decide it’s the husband and go on the warpath despite any and all evidence to the contrary
