This week is a musical experience, as Rick is joined by the legendary singer of the Scoot Doo theme song... Mr. Casey Abrams.
He’s an American Idol alum, a singer in Postmodern Jukebox, Scary Pockets, and all round ultimate genius musician.
This long awaited podcast is all fun and singalongs as Rick asks for some vocal help, tries to nail a musical number, and Casey shows us his double bass prowess.
In amongst the music, they discuss meeting through former American Idol contestant (and 3 x TYSO guest) Jackie Tohn, how Casey got into music, taking compliments, and gratitude.
Rick compares himself to Richie Rich, doubles down on needing to sing a song perfectly, and Casey lets us in on the process of auditioning for American Idol; including what Ryan Seacrest is really like.

I love when Casey talked about the sold out show. It reminded me of a great video you can find by searching Jim Rose D.I.Y. artist marketing. He had the Jim Rose Circus that was big around the time Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails were big in the 90's. His speech is a fascinating history about promoting and selling tickets to live performances. Anyways...Great episode. Even paused to go watch the duo with Jack Black and Casey is Homeless video.
