Now that I've finished watching the whole series, although sad, I like to think that Cazzie finally had character development and personal growth in the story off-screen. I also like to think that Evan met someone who inspired him what to figure out in his life and all of the other exciting things, and somewhat this character also interconnects with Cazzie or either of them. (Take note that Evan totally accepted Casey with all his respect, which is really wholesome. Not all first loves turn out to stay and he definitely deserves a person perfect for him.)
