You couldn’t give me enough cash for me to sell my Gladiator EcoDiesel. It’s absolutely the perfect engine for the JL/JT, and the trans is the best shifting trans of anything I’ve ever driven. Currently 36K miles and zero issues in 2-1/2 years. If it ever got stolen or totaled, I’d look for a clean used one in a heartbeat before buying a gas model!

Interesting review, Casey. I have a 2021 EcoDiesel hard top with 66,000 miles on it. It is my only vehicle. I have used it off road and to town and across the U.S. from coast to coast and from north to south on the west side. I love it. For all you out there who wonder about the EcoDiesel, I have had zero issues with it. I have only had codes once and that was because I used a power wash under the hood. Don't do that! It eventually fixed itself after drying out. I have 33 inch tires on it and get 23 mpg average the course of a year. So Casey, your EcoDiesel with 37 inch tires probably won't do as well but I bet it is still high teens or about 20 mpg overall. My cloth seats look like new, too. They hold up really well. I have had no leaks but then I haven't drilled holes in the roof. I towed a 5x8 UHaul trailer from Arizona to Virginia and back, loaded both directions, and got 20 mpg with no issues. I almost didn't know it was there. I love mine and will keep it forever. The way the EcoDiesel performs both on and off road is amazing. Power is available when you need it. I can almost idle up hill when off roading, so very little spinning of tires even with loose rocks. So, folks, don't be concerned about the EcoDiesel. It is a fantastic motor.

I miss my JLURD Farout for the endless torque and diesel sound and range. I don't miss DEF, worrying about overheating on grades, and the expensive fuel filter / oil changes. Good luck with the sale.

@@dingusflingus An actual good diesel shop could drill them out, and I would have soaked them in lubricant a few days before I pulled I tried to pull them. Too many hack mechanics out there these days…

15:15 - had the same issue with the driver side taillight. Had to wait 1 yr to get the replacement under warranty. I was going crazy with the code popping up every time I was braking, so I bought an Amazon light upgrade kit which is great - even took a tree hit which cracked it, but even with water coming in, theyr are still working great.

Steering wheel squeak is the rubber gasket around the shaft where it goes through the firewall.

I traded my eco diesel after having emissions problems after towing an 1800 lb square drop. It pulled fine, it just kept clogging up. I traded to a 392, definitely no regrets.

I miss my 22 eco diesel Rubi JL. Had 71,000 miles when I traded it in last summer for a 24 taco TRD, I regret doing it.

If it were my choice the “Demonator “ would be the one going down the road , but its not my choice lol.. that demonator is a show pony ,,, that JL is so much better a overlanding rig. But hey they are both awesome Jeeps , for me one is just very impractical.

I love my eco-diesel Jeep. I've never had a problem out of it! Only have 14,600 miles on her. I still debate selling it and starting over... She stays in the garage most of the time but I'd rather drive it than the Denali Ultimate any day.
