Plane Spotting at Malta Int'l Airport, MLA | 22-05-18

After a pleasant night in Malta, it was time to head back to the airport for my next flight, but before that I decided to visit the Airports observation deck for a little bit of spotting. Unfortunately the view from the observation deck is behind glass, so some footage has a few reflections in, which I apologise for.
It was quite a cloudy and hazy morning at Malta, not very often did the sun appear, it was also quiet in terms of movements until just before I left. However despite being quiet there were some good movements about, notably the Lufthansa Airbus A340 in for maintenace at the LH Technik facility. It was certainly a highlight seeing this for me.
As well as the A340-600, this video also features an Easyjet A320 NEO, Volotea A319, Olympic Air Dash 8 Q400, Vistajet Global 5000, Transavia 737-800, DHL 757 PCF, TNT 737-400SF, Air Malta A320's, Ryanair 737's, Lufthansa A320, Turkish 737 and more!

Excellent video Casey, and from my very own second home of Malta. The observation deck is okay, bu the viewing platform the other side of the airport is far better if you spend the day there. Always plenty to see on the maintenance side of things there too. I really hope you enjoyed your visit there. I cannot wait to go back in August. Great video liked. :)

I would of visited the platform if I had time, but wasn't here for long sadly. I did enjoy Malta, it was a beautiful island, I stayed near Valletta and it was a beautiful city

i get sick on this modern world ..not your fault casey but even the 90's was better for spotting look at all that no longer excist ..use to great going to airports to see different planes now its all the same ..sick of ryanair and easyjet ...the helicopeter landing was nice ;)
