@@prod.kcsimmons7221 8 months of crappy, cold, miserable weather; then 2 months of mild rainy weather; finally 2 months of good weather. Small window of opportunity to enjoy the city. Downtown is where its at. Hanging out with friends is definitely fun. But lower Manhattan is just about 2.5sq miles. There are 5 boroughs- manhattan is just one of em. Subway/bus transit sucks and is treacherous, you must be alert at all times in case someone attacks you. Road traffic is a nightmare all day, it took me 60 minutes to go 20 blocks yesterday (1 mile in 60 minutes!) Take a bike? It was 25 degrees with blistering winds! Thats why you see Casey biking/skating and working in a tiny radius for his videos, it looks good and is safer) 5 Boroughs: Bronx? Dangerous. Staten Island? Might as well not even count Queens? Fun in diversity but nobody wants to really be there if they could afford manhattan. Queens has the quiet chill life? Why are you even living in NYC if you want the suburb life? 😆 Brooklyn? Dangerous. Manhattan? The only borough worth being in if you come here. The city is not one big party. Just focused on lower manhattan. (I never said Manhattan is cheap) Casey is working in an even tighter area. He is filming around Canal/ Tribeca area a 1 mile radius. This does NOT represent ALL of NYC. Its just a specific bubble. Keep in mind, Casey is RICH. He’s a multimillionaire. He can do a lot of things the average Joe CANNOT. But in that 2-3 month window of good weather (July-September)? Hard to beat hanging out in these areas: Soho, Noho, Chinatown, Tribeca, LES, West Village, and Bowery! Just one? SOHO!

This is spot on. Living in NYC my entire life and then as an adult… I didn’t realize how much it was part of me. My husband and I lost our place to a sewage floor (think house fire). We moved right outside the city while we recover (we lost everything). I’m next to the LIRR and a 15 drive from the F… but it’s not the same. My drive is also different. We miss the people, the community. Plan to move back as soon as we are able

When I first started my college in 2016, I discovered Casey's channel, and for the rest of my college years, I would be coming home from college anticipating and watching every one of his vlogs. Ofc, after Casey left for Cali, I kinda stopped following for a while. Not to mention the last few years was hectic, Covid and shit, and I also went through ups and downs, got busy. It feels like LA was your chapter to connect with your immediate and extended family, and your other passions outside of content creation. A good exercise in resetting. Now there's room for a new chapter and new perspective of life in NYC, I can't wait to come along for the ride!

I know this will get lost in the thousands of comments here, but Casey I wanted to let you know that I made it in NYC. I have been watching your videos for as long as I can remember, and not only am I drawn to what you represent and your passion for always doing more, but like you, I have always been in love with NYC. I have loved watching you explore the city in which I dreamed of living. I have always felt the same way as you; NYC means so much more to me than just a place on the map. To me it represents opportunity, challenging yourself, the power of human spirit, and where dreams come true. I feel a spiritual connection to this place. I am also from CT, so I guess in the grand scheme of things living here doesn't seem like all too far of a dream to most. But walking around and being able to call this place mine is so special. Having your heart set on a goal and making it become reality is incredible and such a great fulfillment. I know with all my heart that this is where I'm supposed to be. And not only am I living here, I now work as a structural engineer designing bridges at one of the largest engineering firms on the 56th floor of the Empire State Building. The Empire State Building!!!! If someone told me even 6 months ago that this would be my life I wouldn't believe them for a second. There is no place like New York City. I am so blessed that my hard work, passion, and drive for life and this city has paid off. There is no better feeling in the world, and I definitely have you to thank in being a constant inspiration for me. Thank you Casey and welcome home, I hope to see you around.
