Politics ruins everything...which is why we need to talk about it. Reagan once said the nine most terrifying words in the English language were, "I'm from the government and I'm here to help". The only thing the government does is ruin things. The best thing they could do, in most cases, is nothing. The founders knew this and intentionally put road blocks in place to minimize the ability for government to "get things done". Unfortunately, we've removed many of those road blocks over the last couple hundred years. Vote in your primaries for small federal government candidates and get these greedy, power hungry politicians out of office. Elect people who know the best way the government can help is to protect from foreign adversaries and get out of your way in the domestic world. Get involved in state and local politics.

Come to europe, the US is not the land of the free anymore, too much lobbying for the over 2 tonne truck will prevent you from doing anything bigger than a (wonderful) prototype. If i'm not mistaken, small startups are held to a less strict standard in regards to crash and emissions tests in the eu, as long as they produce yearly a limited number of vehicles per country (factory in two country instead of one would make for a higher number of vehicles iirc). The roads are also made for smaller vehicles by default, and a larger portion of the population could therefore see the potential for your vehicle.

Ayo Casey I love your channel and what you do but please stop seeking their (politicans, corporations, the press') attention. Stop talking about them. There's nothing good there. Theyre a bunch of squares. Dont pick fights that are going to exacerbate your passion. Youre a great guy, you have great content and even greater ideas. Focus on the positive and the positive impact you can make. Now will the Omega Car ever be available as a kit?

Count me in. I am 75 yrs of age. I designed an engine over 50 years ago that is capable of the same mileage. I described it to an engineer at Lockheed and he didn’t have the sense to differentiate a carb from a Venturi flame. I have not talked about it since that time. As a retired aircraft mechanic I have enjoyed this truthful video and hope to see some fruition. If you decide to start a manufacturing plant, I will be glad to be on your list of donors . My plan was to build a diesel that was 90% efficient using a hybrid fuel. Illness kept me from making it happen.

@josephbradshaw53532 ай бұрын
@@YoniBaruch-y3m and disappear or be banned from my country no, everything I know is in my head this guy like everyone else from even before the 1900s will disappear. He is using a diesel two stroke which adding propane gives it a near 90% efficiency a gas engine for instance or a four stroke diesel can never achieve more then 40% efficiency. My idea involved a better non viscous gas giving higher efficiency and would have almost no carbon footprint. The only reason no one has done it is because how difficult it is to keep NOX emissions down on a Detroit two stroke diesel design no matter what kind of propane you use to add efficiency. Propane is like nitrous to a gas engine easy to obtain and store but leaves to big of a carbon footprint as how it’s obtained. The rest i know is a secret I will never tell and only develop in a non nato country.

Sadly, you couldn’t actually mass produce an inexpensive, basic car nowadays with all of the safety and emission go gobbledygook.
@jamesford29422 ай бұрын
In England this could possibly fall into the cycle car category. I wish we had that here. I can chose to ride a motorcycle with nothing but a helmet for protection and that is ok. Classify it as a car and it requires a thousand pounds of garbage to "keep you safe". For every pound of fuel burned you get a measured amount of pollution and other things that are called "greenhouse gases". If you burn half the amount of fuel, you will cut the pollution in half! The way the current system that is in place measures the required amount fuel economy for a given size of car, promotes huge gas guzzling cars

EPA and DOT/NHTSA regulations are a huge reason why cars are SO expensive and RELATIVELY fuel inefficient. In 1992, you could buy a Honda Civic VX which was rated for 49mpg on the highway. It was a bare bones, commuter car. No A/C, and handles to roll up the windows. Now, cars have ridiculously high (and high coefficient of drag) hoodlines; and 756 freaking airbags.

I think that Edison Motors, Deboss Garage, Rich Rebuilds, Gale Banks, Thunderhead289 are the kinds of people who are your people and I believe that people who are all in those networks of guys have the brains and the talent to be a part of something like this that would be a vehicular revolution that will return the power and the upward mobility back to the average citizen. You are a brave intelligent man doing extremely important work. It would be an honor if I had the opportunity to be involved in something like what you are doing. I know exactly what games that big business has been playing weaponizing government regulation against anyone who would ever dare to go into business as competition against them. The automakers are in business today because the American people were forced against their will to pay taxes that were handed to corporations that refused to create products that would succeed without welfare and lawfare.

Keep politics out of the story. Will make you more relatable. And the main culprit in my opinion is the Oil lobby that has its hands in everything to keep fuel efficient cars from being a reality. Unfortunately, I don't know if the Omega can pass emissions testing or safety crash tests. Which was left out of your story. I wish you luck. I really enjoyed your driving tutorial videos so far, especially without the political rhetoric. And it can be that people are just so focused on electric cars that fuel powered cars are taking a back seat. And a car made by an "unknown" person that is a one off is a good story once, but with nothing new about the car there isn't much more to tell. Are investors putting down millions, has a factory been bought or built to produce the car? It is a great kit car that you built, but not one that will be going into production any time soon, like the Aptera for example. If you could sell this as a kit car that anyone could build, it would make it stand out and get more press.
@CaseyPutsch2 ай бұрын
Building this as a kit car is the fastest way to be irrelevant and waste your time. Politics are 100% relevant here.
@AndreS_-df2nw2 ай бұрын
Electric cars are being subsidised at every level and mostly are toys for the well-heeled to virtue signal. Reality is that the grid cannot support mass numbers of them, and it should only be considered an option if they actually fit your lifestyle. The gov loves them because it gives them more control by putting your movements on a switch, that they can turn off.
