The that woman commented about Great Danes are to expensive to own is not totally correct. I've had 4 of them. The thing that was not good about them is that they only live an average of 12 years. They're adorable dogs to own. It's probably living in California makes a big difference on finances.

I don't know. As a show dog, I think he is used to standing still and meeting new people. Plus, Steve wouldn't have him stay if it made him unhappy. And like the lady said, "He brings a lot of joy."
