Hi sir, may I ask how depreciation expense affects the cash budget? Should it be added back to serve as tax shield? thank you! :)

norman vincent baguisa In cash budget your focus is only on Cash inflows and cash outflows. Depreciation being non cash item they are ignored in cash budget. It is in Capital Budgeting cash flows we take cognizance of tax shield on Depreciation. In cash budget we consider actual tax outflows which takes care of tax shield on Depreciation.
