Oh Daisy!! 😢 Just remember the emergency funds are for emergencies Im so happy you have the money and even a car to sell. A coyote ran into my car which caused $9935 damage and the appraisal is only going to give $6500 so I have to dish out $3400. Im so frustrated but thankful I have the money!! Just keep going like you say!!❤❤

Yes I agree. It’s ok to feel bummed bc after all we are human but also recognize that things could be much worse. I can’t imagine how I would feel if I didn’t have the funds to cover it.

My old tax preparer who is an acquaintance of my moms, how I found her. Screwed me over one tax year and caused me to owe 3K last year. I was frustrated because I had just had my babies when I found out. They suspended my license and everything, which went on my record. It’s so frustrating when you go to someone who is supposed to be the professional and get bad news. Luckily you had money saved in emergency and can use it if you need to. So sorry you’re going through this.

Isn’t your tax preparer liable for their screw up?! That’s what they have insurance for! You shouldn’t owe that money, they should.

I think that only works if you pay extra for the coverage through chain preparers. I used to pay that fee with Jackson Hewitt but then I found out I was being screwed so I found an awesome CPA. When I file now I have to sign where they let me know that they’ve done their job and if any issues arise - I’m legally responsible for it.

It's awful it had to happen this way and hopefully a more experienced CPA will take better care of you this year. Get that money back girl, that was her mistake and you shouldn't pay
