So I want to start doing this but I pay everything online. What do you guys do?

I try to use the cash I stuff in my envelopes to pay for most things in person! but if I have to use my card for online purchases like clothes for example, say I spent $75 online. I'd take out $75 from my clothes envelope and deposit it into my bank account to use that money to pay off my card for that purchase! It's a little inconvenient but for me, it's helpful to visually see how much I'm spending and it forces me to be more disciplined because I have to go deposit that cash to pay off my online purchase. This way, you also know that you have the money to pay for that purchase 😅 Bills are a little bit of a different story. I actually made a whole separate bank account for my bills that are on auto-pay and I manually deduct my monthly bills from my paychecks each time I get paid (kind of like a 401k deduction that automatically comes out) and I never use money from my bills account to cash stuff. I hope this made some sense! If you have any more questions please let me know and I'd be happy to answer them 🩵 🩵

All my bills are on autopay. I leave all my money in the bank for bills and only stuff personal envelopes (gas, food, miscellaneous, etc.) and sinking funds (emergency fund, car maintenance, etc.) Hope this helps. 😊
