hi! 3rd year College student and fellow budgeter! I would recommend putting it into a high yield savings account cause theft is big at college unless you have a safe or a locked drawer then it should be all good!

3:43 it might be tight, and not what you are used to, but you're going to be so much better off than most people your age (sadly, ANY age) because you HAVE sinking funds and savings accounts! And, I know I've written it before, but YES, put as much as you can into your HYSA - earn yourself more interest, and have less in your space that could tempt others.

Dorm rooms are notorious for people "losing" things. Money is jus an added incentive to borrow and not return. bank everything you can!

Of course we care how you are and how your life is going. I think you are right to put your money in the bank. I have no doubt that you will find employment, if you put your mind to it. I agree with others. When my son was in his dorm, I had him carry his cash and cards on him. They have items you can hide your cash in as well.

Great video! For safety reasons I think going digital (prop money) is the way to go. That way your money is growing interest and you still will be able to make stuffing videos.

I would not keep but like $100 on me at all times because if someone knows what you’re doing saving money they’re gonna rob you so whatever you don’t need at the time I would put in savings and you can always get it out of savings if you need it.but you should not carry a lot of money around with you at school too many kids at like they’re going to school and they’re not going to school. They’re out there to get somebody.

I definitely would not keep more than $100 in your dorm,( why tempt someone?) I would love to send you some smaller denomination prop money that I’m not using,( brand new), if I can get a PO Box address? Also; you have a good amount of experience,( make sure to include your Etsy shop and KZbin); I’m sure you’ll find something.
