@@irisbudgets you certainly are Iris, every time we go we always find that any shop or pub we go into that everyone we come across are so friendly and welcoming, even in the supermarkets the lovely people on the tills are lovely, as soon as we speak they say aw are visiting and it just makes me 😊 smile, we are upto Gosforth to see my darling daughter and son-in-law and our beautiful grandchildren this coming Friday and we cannot wait, I am trying to persuade my husband to move up there but it is all about the money really, still I can always dream...lol.

Hi! So I see what I’ve left over after all my direct debits. Some envelopes have loose targets, some firm, and so I just split up the rest into what I would like to grow each of them by each week. Just a case of budgeting accordingly x

I'm new to all this but I just can't get my head around it- so you take money out of the bank, put it in pretty folders, then take it back to the bank again? I find these videos so addictive but I just don't understand the point! Please can someone enlighten me?

Yes that’s right, because to save it in cash rather that it all in the bank all of the time helps me not only to budget but to not touch it, then it goes into its pot in the bank and as they’re separated it helps me know what I’ve got for each category
