The apt and neighborhood do not warrant a $6750.00 price tag. You have 3 large rooms 2 okay bathrooms a tiny kitchen and no in unit laundry. The neighborhood had a lot of places to eat but no grocery store and no other stores a working class person can use ( no hair salons, no affordable clothing stores no hardware store) the landlord needs to knock the rent down by at least $ 2000 dallors maybe a little more. Great video take care!
@snickersimsocute24382 жыл бұрын
There is a grocery store, 1 avenue east of the subway stop. There are hair salons on 7th and 8th Avenue. There’s a hardware store a few blocks south of the subway stop and east of the subway stop. All within walking distance. Cash didn’t give you a tour of the entire neighborhood, probably because he’s in Manhattan. Anyone seriously interested in the apartment is familiar with this neighborhood.

-Hey Cash, Love your videos. Saw your Japan adventures. Your family is sweet. Here's a little trick for the hot coffee (first you are right, the hotter the coffee, the better when making). However, to cool it once it's made (esp. for you, who is always trying to beat the clock): simply get an extra cup (also that can hold hot liquid) and pour the coffee from one cup to the other and back again, several times. The key here is that you are exposing the "surfaces" if you will, to the air. It cools down really quick this way, a great time saver. Great luck to you with all things.

The price is definitely a deterrent but it's so high because of the neighborhood. The meatpacking district is so trendy now & just a few blocks away on West 14th Street is the highline & little island park right on the Hudson River. I'm surprised the kitchen is so tiny. They really could have used a little of the living room space to enlarge the kitchen but the other room sizes are amazing. But the price & no doorman. Smh

Why are their buildings you can't rent in I know you mentioned it in passing before; its so strange to me. Isn't renting the out the point??
@catherinecole39782 жыл бұрын
Hey Cash! At $6,70.00 per month, this apartment is pricey mainly because of the neighbourhood in lower Manhattan. The gentrification that has taken place over the past 1/2 century in so many urban places almost guarantees that all the character of the original neighbourhood is long lost. What is with the lack of windows in kitchens in New York anyway? While the appliances are nice, the kitchen is very small. These rooms are 'spacious' but they are also tunnel-like so you always need lights on around the kitchen area, for instance. p.s. before jogging strollers were invented us poor proles had to make do with navigating umbrella strollers 'thru the snow! Sleepless in Toronto.
@GaelinW2 жыл бұрын
Mainly because many NY apts are renovations of other buildings so kitchens pretty much get stuck wherever they fit. Or, larger apartments are cut up into smaller apartments. If there is not window already there, the kitchen doesn't get one. (also why bathrooms get windows in weird places.) For "new"/planned builds, windows are expensive.

@warren_r2 жыл бұрын
This has been around for at least a decade now, basically you get a sink that's 6" deep or less, and a special type of dishwasher (probably a GE Spacemaker) that has about half the normal amount of space on the top rack. Upside is that when you're pre-rinsing dishes, it's easy to go from the sink to the dishwasher.... downside is you can't stand in front of the sink while doing this! Bad situation all around.
@andrewbrendan15792 жыл бұрын

Nice neighborhood and everything but it would be nice to have a larger kitchen for that amount of money. Not super impressed by the apartment itself but I guess you are paying for the area. Funny thing is I know what those apartments used to rent for LoL That area used to be cheaper than the apartments closer to Washington Square Park. When it passes the 4000 a month though I start getting really picky about apartments. Have more room than some apartments and most people could make it work but at that price I would want a slightly larger kitchen and laundry in the apartment not in the basement. On the plus side it gets plenty of light.
