Casino History was a series of videos I made on the Velvet The Lion KZbin channel that went over the history of many different casinos in Las Vegas. The videos were deleted since the original channel was completely removed as well. While my current channel, Jaggy the Jaguar, is more focused towards gaming and game collecting-related content, this will be an exception. Almost all Casino History videos will be uploaded (One every two days) due to it's popularity, though they will be edited due to copyright issues and the fact that the series is no longer continuing.
I've definitely learned from this series as many people have criticized it for my poor narration, pronunciation of various names and words, and inaccurate facts.
For some reason, I never bothered to credit the KZbinr who provided the drone footage seen in the intro when these videos were first uploaded. His name is Curtis Billy Haines Jr.
Original video: • Las Vegas Aerial 4k St...
Channel: / @curtisbillyhainesjr5214
========================================
This two-part episode is on the history of one of the Las Vegas Strip's old casinos (besides the Flamingo), the Tropicana. Part 1 focuses on the 1950s to 1970s, including the Tropicana's involvement on the mob, it's many shows, and its various expansions and renovations.
Come check out my Discord server, Jaggy's Game Emporium! We have everything for both gamers and furries, including anything art-related, game collecting, Minecraft, and even bots that you can mess with! You can even check for updates on my videos and see behind-the-scenes content and never before seen stuff!

@@gymer15 same! My Dad took my sister and me there to see them at the Frontier in 1982. Tickets were $9.95 kids, $19.95 adults! A few years later, they would play at the newly built Mirage with tickets starting at around $100

1:02 as far as the 1950s casinos that have not been imploded, wouldn’t you have to add the Flamingo and Sahara to that list? I know the Sahara went through a name change and remodel… But I don’t think that it, or the Flamingo, were technically imploded?

@TiltBrook Flamingo was demolished & rebuilt to build bigger towers to hold more rooms. Tropicana also was demolished, but the bungalow rooms were preserved since the 1950

So my grandparents are included in the employee photo. He was a talented painter and was the go-to guy for gold leaf lettering. So I have an ice bucket from then. An original ice bucket. It Sat down in the paint shop and grandpa took it home when he retired...

Clark County doesn’t recognize the Sahara or the stratosphere as being within city limits of that part of the strip
@electrictroy2010

@dantespears713 Technically NONE of the south & central strip is inside the city of Las vegas. Stratosphere lies directly on the city’s southern border, so it’s partly in & out of the city. .
