I borrowed one of these from a friend that was Japanese, and used it at school to keep stopping a vcr when the teacher was trying to play a boring educational video. Good times :P

Believe this is the CMD-40-1, released in 1995. The CMD series includes the CMD-20, CMD-30, and CMD-40, released between 1994 and 1996. There are a few different colorways of each.

I bought mine new in 1995 when I was 14. God did I feel like god at school! I need a new strap for it.

It's great to remember the old days! I just have a question. Is the CMD-40 water resistant, like splash proof, etc.?

The manual you found refers back to an earlier 1980s Casio model with the same functions. The silver version with the stainless steel wristband is preferable to me. I still wear it when I'm in nerdy mode. Yes, it can store A/C remote control signals as well as those for the car & garage doors and so many other infrared devices. Smart devices can't do that!

I knew someone with one of these, of my memories correct he had a really ductless heat pump that it worked with. Anyways I remembered that when people started making a commotion about the flipper hacking tool which seemed to be doing similar tasks but in a giant form factor decades later, I know it has way more to it though.

I have one, back in the day I learn the code of in the key of my mother's Renault Clio and could lock/unlock the car remotely. Also at highschool when we were taken to watch some video my mates will always request me to eject the vhs or fast forward, was great fun.

I could unlock my Grandad's Citroen BX with mine. Got into plenty of mischief with it at school, and also messing about in Dixons turning off all the TVs in the shop... Great fun!

I had this in junior high in mid 90's and used to prank teachers and tv salesmen with this watch. They couldn't figure out how the tv channels were changing, etc.

I have some questions : 1. Does it work with an air conditionner/lcd projector ? 2. How to learn a tv code if the manual doesn’t show the tv code Thank you so much
@lennyscheapwatchchannel20994 жыл бұрын
Theoretically it SHOULD work with anything that sends/receives an IR signal. In the video I show you how to set the watch to a "learn" function so you can make it talk whatever language your TV does if it's not already programmed in the watch.

I'm pretty sure I had a friend who used it for his air conditioner but it must have been 25 years ago so many I made that up in my memory. I wonder about garage doors and things.
