You have to choose some rhythm for editing, and then enter Pattern Sequencer. If you want to delete a track, you have to be in recording mode, then push + and - together, and confirm deletion. You must delete all tracks in all variations to make an "empty" style, which you should use to overwrite styles in user area in order to free some memory.
@MarcinRyczko11 жыл бұрын
Hello from Poland! ;) CTK-731 allows itself to convert some styles from Roland and Technics - you can do this if you have original accessory disk from Casio, or another floppy with convrol.bin and convtech.bin files (if I remember names correctly) from that disk. Convert function is available in Disk menu. To make use of styles from other instruments, like Yamaha, you should be interested in Style Works software (because we need to convert them to Roland format first).

Great Tutorial . ! As you can see in the video we are shown the possibilities sequencer and creating styles .

I'm not sure at the moment, but if you want delete all user data (factory reset), it should be possible by switching on the instrument while holding + and - pressed, please try this method. If you want to delete a single rhythm, there is no straight way to do that, but you can edit one of the rhythms, delete all tracks from all variations, and save (overwrite) on one or more user rhythms - it will free some memory.

Hi Marcin, I bought my ctk 731 fifteen years ago, brand new for £289. It was for my wife who never used it. A daughter came a long and expressed an interest, she never practiced and got bored with it. So now it is my turn! Please could you forward a couple of your amazing styles to me to get me started. I have to succeed.Much respect, Chris

My son-in-law gave me a CTK-731. But it was without the manual, so I could not do anything with this synthesizer. But you taught me to work with a pattern sequencer and much more! I have a small question about "Registration" buttons ("A", "B", "C"... etc). How to assign any tones and patterns to this buttons? You have easily switched instruments and patterns during play... I want to do it too :) ...I'm so sorry for my bad English... Thank you very much! I really love your videos!
@MarcinRyczko12 жыл бұрын
This is very useful question - I haven't included it in the video. Firstly, to delete single notes, you have to start recording on the track, where you have made a mistake. While it's running, press and hold "+" and "-" buttons, and then you have to play the wrong note just a moment before it was previously recorded and hold to a moment it was played - then it will be deleted. Maybe it's a bit difficult to explain, but please try. If you have problems with it, write a private message to me.

Pozdrawiam.

I'm sorry I haven't answered you yet - probably I overlooked your post... Using registration buttons is very simple - you just set your settings (style, tones, tempo etc.), choose bank from 0 to 3 and save - press and hold Store button and then one of A-E buttons. :) If you want to easily switch tone while you're playing - simply make another set with different tone and save it under another letter (for example if you earlier saved to 0A, now save to 0B). NowYouCanSwitchToneWith1Button-AorB.:)

Drum set shouldn't change with chords, of course unless you record it on channel 10, which is suitable for drum sets (as I remember, there is no break point on CH10). It means that rhythm line recorded once on channel 10 is always the same, regardless of chords.

Hello Marcin, I have a CTK-731 and am learning Patterns. I try to follow your tutorial, but dont seem to be able to adjust the "measure" in the Intro section. It is stuck on 05. No amount of button pressing can change it to 8. I love this song. Do you still have the style file you could send me please? :-) Many thanks, Chris
@MarcinRyczko8 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris. Is your intro part completely blank? You can set Measure only when there are no notes recorded in any of 5 tracks yet. Anyway, I still have this and many other styles for CTK-731, just give me your e-mail address. ;)

Hello there, i want to convert some KORG Styles to my CTK 731. Which type of file musst I have? And is that possible. Thanks a lot!
@MarcinRyczko3 жыл бұрын
Hi! CTK-731 itself can convert styles from Roland and Technics only. If you would like to try with Korg styles, you have to convert them to Roland format with Style Works or similar software first.

+Tofos Nick Hi! I think it won't be easy to find styles for CTK-731, I don't know. Google is your friend here. You can also try to convert some styles from Roland and Technics (also converted from other instruments with for example StyleWorks) thanks to CTK-731's built-in converter - please take a look at this function.

;) Pozdrawiam serdecznie.
