Got mine today. The sounds and rhythms are top notch. Build quality and Key bed is decent. The speakers are fantastic. As opposed to Roland’s EA 7 that I recently sold after using for a year, CTX 500 feels much more modern and more suitable for stuff like EDM, hip hop style music. The EA7 had far superior controls for things like balancing the various sounds like upper, lower, left, accompaniment and drums etc with slider controls which this keyboard lacks and it takes several press of buttons to achieve these functions. However, there is a mixer button and also the tone editing, split, octave etc buttons are also present which compensates to an acceptable degree. The sounds (tones) and rhythms / backing accompaniment are to my taste far superior and fresh sounding compared to other similarly priced arranger keyboards and with the use of fills, phrase pads (all very simple and on the fly access) one can make excellent home made electronic music at a serious hobby level and is very satisfying. Overall, I’m very pleased with this purchase and must say that it is the best value for money in my opinion as you get a whole lot more than what you pay for

Hi after having this board for over a year how is the key bed is yours becoming noisy

@@j0hnny1971 Well, the key bed is still the same with no keys becoming loose or excessively noisy. The key action however is not a premium quality and always had a slight clicking sound, which I have no issues with. Personally I like the key action and I think it’s only a notch inferior to what I have felt on various similarly priced Yamaha keyboards I tried in shops or owned previously. However I’m not a heavy user and the average playing time per week maybe about an hour (only personal use), it’s never left my living room so well looked after. I’ve had a Casio Wk 760 for 10 years and I love it’s key action which again may be have a small sound (with volume off) but it’s very playable and I have not noticed any deterioration for both boards over time. Hope this helps
