You need not open a calculator and clean it this way; dusts do not collect inside such calculators.

@@randomguy4738 I wouldn't agree. Simple ones ("like on your phone" level) - yeah, sure. But more advanced models (which unlike simple ones, actually useful outside a classroom) can go well over a 100$.

To be honest I think you should let it dry. As long as you have not used it after it has been dropped, you should remove the battery carefully and let it dry, then insert the battery again.
