Casio G-Shock G-9000-3VDR Mudman review.

Tough, reliable and extremely cheap! In my opinion, this g-9000 Mudman is one of the best models of G-Shock out there for the price!

After putting it in water, does the light button make a squishy sound? And what about the unguarded cirkular buttons, are they somehow shock protected too? And how come the el backlight lights up everything else around the crystal like the words Casio and mode etc...

Does the dual light mean EL and the outer circle of functions letterings? Why do you need the outer part light up?

I have the G9000 mudman ( positive display and red buttons )and love it , very attractive . The only thing I hate is the thin and flimsy strap.

Hmmmm, weird, I find the strap very comfortable..Still a great watch for less than $100!

@@WatchesChecked Yes comfortable but thin ( observe the strap near the bezel, the decorative hole makes it look flimsy ). I own a G9100 mudman, its strap is thicker and more solid .

I got one in 2016, lasted me 6 years with light and beeps used sparingly. My big complaint is how mine wasn't that accurate, ran a bit fast, drifted a few minutes over a few months. got it because I finished boot camp and was starting infantey school. Pendleton had very fine red sand/dust that gets EVERYWHERE. the diameter being small was good too. The two round boots at 2 and 4 oclock tore open from age so if I were to revive it, Id need to get a new case from PacParts. I hated how it was harder to read than an all day indiglo timex digital (shiney green screen), tried replacing it with a Citizen diver but bumped the date wheel mechanism where it got stuck between dates (had the same issue with my mechanicals) because I'm too rough so now I got a GA-B2100. Legibility and gshock carefree durability.

you can make vídeo about the two stopwatches and to leave couting at 999h, i think it would be very cool to film the stopwatch couting at 45h, 70h, 234 or to film stopwatch in 999h and before set to zero. you can do this with the g-shock g-7900 too

hey,suppose I start the stw and then stop it but do not reset it and go to timekeeping mode and then return to stw mode,will the reading be erased or would it be present from where I stopped? And does using stopwatch A LOT on this watch(7-8 hours everyday) drain battery?

The reading won't be erased, but the stopwatch will drain the battery for sure!

You started out very nicely by having this mudman as your first G shock, it's one of the best masters of G imo! my first one was a DW 6900 that I got in 2012, and my brother was the dw 9052 that he got in 2003 (it's what got me into g shocks), I love this watch

This one has a dual light, the screen has a backlight which makes it much more legible than the DW-5600bb for example!

I read that a lot of people have problem with the hard buttons. Is it really hard to press the buttons?

I think I have a smaller frame than most being 5'8 145lb with 6" wrists. To me, it isn't difficult at all. The buttons on the left are easier to press than the buttons on the right though. please excuse what I had said before I edited this.

Yes indeed, the buttons are quite hard to press, unlike on other models. You really have to get used to them

I got the black one less than a month ago and already get used to the hard buttons (IMO not even really that hard). Yeah it's really worth it, great design and all.

0:24 it does not mean that :) all watches can be freeze without issue. This particular model features a "low temperature lcd display", which mean the display will not lag under low temperatures, which is kind of neat.

I bought one back in 2012. I regretted it after a day or two. The terrible negative display was almost impossible to read without using the light, and the buttons were way too hard to push and unresponsive.

Can't be further from the truth, the negative display is way better than on other g-shocks that don't have dual light which lights up the panel behind the screen making the negative display way more legible. Speaking about the buttons, yes, you need time to adapt to them but they are perfectly responsive
