Best watch ever 5 years still running strong without any problem. The watch is sufficient itself . Don’t need to charge it , don’t need to think about replacing the battery , don’t need to fix the time exactly like I have to sit with my other G-Shock GA-150 for 15 minutes. The watch just change it’s time in day time saving light and if I need to change the time because of a simple time zone it’s som simple . I actually don’t appreciate this watch enough because I wear this everyday regularly. But now that I am looking in to my watch after replacing my battery on my old old G-Shock GA-150 which was a gift . I truly adore this. Watch. And it’s packed with so many functions. It’s like a mini computer on your wrist which is self sufficient for it’s tough solar and durable body. It’s just like you want to go in the mountain you want to go in deep sea I am ready master ….

I've owned this watch for about 2 years now, and own several other Casio protrek watches. The GWG-1000 series is the pinnacle of watch technology, Atomic radio-controlled timekeeping, solar powered, temperature, altitude, barometer, and much more. What more could you ask for from a watch. If Casio added GPS for altitude accuracy without needing a cell phone, and UV warning indicators that would be the next watch that I would purchase. The main reason I purchased this watch watch, it's toughness, atomic timekeeping, solar powered, everything else is a bonus.

Ngl, I was initially drawn to its successor, the GWG-2000. However, upon inspecting the GWG-1000 properly and appreciating its more intelligent design, I ended up buying it over the newer Mudmaster. I think it makes sense for a watch of its calibre to focus more on durability and ruggedness, instead of showing off and having a lot of shiny metal. The GWG-2000's biggest drawback will remain its protruding sapphire glass crystal; once you see it, you can't unsee it. 😳

I was actually going to purchase a gpbr b 1000 but after reading a lot of reviews, regarding the watch, of its poor app feature with its bluetooth, i had to find a watch that was exactly the same but different and strong. Hence i chose gwg 1000! I will be buying it today. Very excited.

Well its the best G i have out if 39Gs. Same size as the GPW1000 but a lot more comfortable , since it has the old design angel wings at the back plate. The LED light is not as good as the GPW, its weaker. only comes from number 6. The strap feels exactly like GD400 strap. One nice function is that the Auto light activated ONLY if there is no sufficient light. Over all quality is like ( one hell of a monster watch ).

That's good to hear, because I LOVE that watch, but I find myself just wearing my GW3500B most days, because that GPW really starts to irritate me after a few hours. And I want this thing, I want it bad. I think part of my problem is, I got the GPW that has the bracelet link band. Though I think they look classy and cool, I got a few G's with them, and I found a fatal flaw for me. Throughout the course of the day, my wrist changes sizes, swells as I work, get pumped up on coffee, get hot, get cold, etc. I didn't think about that issue, with the resin bands no biggie, just a quick adjustment. With a bracelet band, it's "now it's a bit tight....now it's a bit loose..." etc.

Virtually never. I own a G 9300 tough solar Mudman for seven years now and never changed the battery. I´ve read they can last for 10 years or more.

@@MrCarpen7er LOL I own a GW-9400 Rangeman and it is the worst G-SHOCK I have ever bought. Pathetic quality, the watch lugs broke within a couple of years and the only thing holding the bands to the watch was the resin bezel. Then I switched to the Mudmaster GWG-1000 and it is awesome. I have been wearing the Mudmaster since 4 years and there isn't even 1 scratch on the sapphire crystal and the curved back makes it the most comfortable g shock to wear. Try and use your Rangeman in even remotely tough situations and the lugs will break, just wait and see

Ryan Bolton many of the G shocks I've seen are like this. I can't do seconds on a timer with my iPhone, either. Edit: never mind, I can set seconds on my iPhone, but if I have Siri do it. Anyway, you get my point about the watches.

Mud can dry and make the operation of the buttons of the watch nearly impossible without mud resistance. The resistance comes from the fact that even the extremities of the functioning buttons are protected from water and dirt.

Water easily gets out of tight spaces. Mud likes to get stuck everywhere and doesn't really wanna come out. Obviously not every mud is the same but just water resistance is not going to be enough.

I tired Mud Master in G-Force of F-35 two days ago when we bombed Iranian Bases in syria :))...it was good no problem but Gravity Gpw 2000 is designed for Pilots and GWG-1000 is for the Ground assault team.

Sadly, both thermo and altitude sensors are very bad. I can configure them both over and over, but still they wont show the real numbers. Not sure I could recommend spending that amount of money on already "broken" sensors. The rest of the watch´s functions works great though.

They're not broken. Do you know the altitude is measured via barometer? It means that if the barometric pressure changes, it will affect your watches' altitude. You should always calibrate it when you come to a place where you know the correct altitude. And thermometer? Have you tried taking it from your wrist for 20 - 30 minutes? The temperature is affected by the heat from your body. I'm not making it up, I also have these watches and I can say they work absolutely perfectly.

Read the manual. The manual itself tells you you have to regularly adjust the altitude because the altitude is based on the barometric pressure at the time, and the manual also states that for reliable temperature readings, you have to remove the watch from your body heat for a period of time. There isn’t a watch in existence that you don’t have to adjust altitude or remove the watch to take accurate temperature readings.

The other LED illuminates the digital. It is set on the right side of the digital readout. The commercial doesn't do the illumination justice. It does MUCH better in zero light conditions. Yeah, I own one. Lol

acabo de ver uno usado en una tienda aquí en japon y es la carcasa que tiene fibra de carbono, es un reloj pesado y grande comparándolo con cualquier g shock ga 100 o ga 110 por ejemplo, su correa se siente muy resistente, aunque las esquinas de carbono quedan muy expuestas y ahi recibe golpes y rayones propios de relojes usados precio $360 usado

Friends, don't go on its commercial, this watch look tough but its very fragile, very delicate. I have it, the very same shown in this commerical and within 6 months I found a dent on its dail case (which according to some reviewers a built like a tank). So what I feel now is that this is not a tough watch in use, its tough on price not in use. I would sincerely suggest to whomever considering to buy this watch, don't go for this tough looking clumsy watch, which will cost you so much that when you will get slightly dissapointed with it ( I mean about its toughly build dail case) you will brust in cry. Dont go for this. Buy any other watches of g shock but not this one. Currently I own three g-shock including this one. The waches I owned are: 1. Bluetooth Music Edition, 2. GG- 1000 and this clumsy watch. Its not a beast its a mouse.

マッドマスターGWG-1000は泥などに強くて最強な時計と思ってたが普通に人間の汗やホコリでボタンの不具合が簡単に起きる！同じ不具合が起きた人は超音波洗浄で治るかも？自分はそれでボタンの引っ掛かりは治った…けど丈夫な時計じゃないから本体が壊れる可能性もあるので注意が必要かも！

I use this watch at the gym, and I sweat like a pig. Not once has the Mudmaster ever malfunctioned for me. You are supposed to wash it with fresh water if it ever gets covered in salt water or dirt.
