That's exactly what I've been hoping for. I have a 5610u as well, and a all black GBX100 instead of a GBD200. Imagine the 5610u with it's tough solar and all the same features and add the MIP display to it. That would be awesome. I neve really cared about all the rubbish smartwatch wanna be features of my GBX100, I never really use it. I just bought it for the MIP display and the design.

Same here; I have 5610 and I want to buy the other one but missing solar is the only thing thats keeping me away! I don't need the connectivity crap.just time sync if any would suffice!

I love the GBD 200 but hate the strap. It is not comfortable for me.

I bought the gbd200 (my first g-shock) 3 weeks ago to replace my smartwatch beater and i love it so much i ordered the Bluetooth Casioak as well to add to my collection

Haha I didn’t mean that I have 10 gshocks, I meant that you will have 10 in 6 months. An exaggeration, but that’s usually how it works, gshocks are very addective and fun to collect.

I daily a casio royale but i use the gdb200 solely for my runs! I love the strap as it still provide a strong grip on my wrist despite all the sweat

Got these two watches. I prefer the GBD200. Screen is more legible, digits are bigger, got Bluetooth so no need to worry about not having MB6 signal, setting up alarms are super simple via smart phone. Haven't wore my 5610U after getting GBD200.

@@simplewatchtalks Definitely. I wish they would actually update the firmware of GBD200 and give us better countdown timer and stop watch. But instead of doing that they will release a new watch with improved feature instead. Casio would never give us the perfect watch.

MIB display would score more points for the great visibility and allowing better use of the screen resolution. Would love to see comparison of GWB5600MG vs GWM5610U. But for maximum value of the Casio square as daily wear - Bluetooth version is best.

Beside the MIP on the 200, i think that since i got a smart watch already, if i would go with one model it would be a watch not some hybrid, i've been looking at the 200 for the past few month, but never pull the trigger on the purchase button and i'm still not convince about all the feature available on the 200 .

I have an all black GBX-100 which is a slight upgrade of the GBD-200 having a steel bezel. I just think of it as a regular digital watch with a cool modern design and beautiful MIP display. I just completely ignore all the rubbish smartwatch wannabe features of it.

Can the Bluetooth functionality be switched off on the watch so no Bluetooth is emitted, or is it always sending a signal etc?

I'm also a fan of 5610 (and most of the original squares). There is a big difference between those 2: - 5610 was design with functionality in mind - and does it best. - GBD 200 was design with market trends and "more cash" mentality I would also like to try a MIP screen, which is indeed a nice tech advance, BUT ... I hate the font Casio used and also that fitness stuff that I don't need. Hope Casio will release a solar GBD with "old school LCD 7 segment" font, no BT and other fitness crap. In the meantime... no MIP Casio for me. LE: I see that Casio's trend is to enter the "fit" gang with their multi functions GShocks. They should leave the Gshock line as it is ... and maybe create a new sub-brand G-Fit?

ihave the gbd 200 but i regret not getting the Casio GW-M5610-1ER, the gbd 200 disconnects verry often from the phone, gona sell it and get the Casio GW-M5610-1ER!

Both are great gshocks in my opinion, but I personally prefer the GWM.
