Casio has always been a go to brand for anyone looking for a no nonsense, budget friendly watch and this watch really takes it up a notch with the design functions, dimensions, weight and overall aesthetics. I think this model is going to be a winner as well. The blue tooth connectivity and that barely there super light weight is definitely appealing!You’re always on point with your presentation and analysis. 🥃

I never understand “Casio killed GShock” titles. Casio owns GShock!

I believe people aren't referring to the casio brand itself, rather that Gshocks are a separate product line to standard non-Gshock casio watches. It's namesake really, all Gshocks are casio's, but not all casio's are Gshocks! There is a difference that allows comparison, albeit a lot of channels use dramatized words like "killed/killer" to attract views.

to me its more of a "hey, this budget casio is so good, u dont need to get a gshock" kinda thing but a bit more dramatized. perhaps just to convey that this is as good as a gshock. of course a gshock is more rugged and tough, but if anyone wants a good tough watch at a more friendly budget, this is a good option. dont take it too literally. they just trying to convey that the watch is really good is all, n gshock is really up there in the ladder if not at the top, so its usually the standard ppl compare to. have a good day

Nice timely review for me! Citizen Promaster Land buy was messed up by PayPal so that made me reconsider. Not only the watch but PayPal which I'm in the process of closing out. I decided the Citizen was a no buy because of the fake screw downs and the price. Decided on the Casio Rangeman because of the versatility and getting automatic time resolution plus solar but the thickness was a big negative. Problem solved by the G Shock killer which, in this case, it really is. The thinness and Bluetooth connectivity plus the usual Casio features made this the choice. I can live without solar! The price pretty much makes it a no brainer choice. I had bought an interim Casio Illuminator for $28.50 which has delighted me and reminded me of how pleasing it is to have a watch that doesn't constantly remind you of its weight. Thanks for the review!

I bought this watch because I wanted an affordable everyday bluetooth watch to sync with my phone so I don't have to change the time manually. This watch does the job perfectly!

Good looking watch, slim profile, step tracker, BT at an affordable price of $50 (here in India). This watch has everything going for it ! I’m certainly tempted, but I already have G-Squads (GBD-800, GBA-800 and GBD-200) and I’m in two minds !

These proportions are certainly an aquired taste. But the step counter and BT connectivity will sway a lot of customers. Btw. props for that shirt in the b-roll. Free 🍉!

I think you said it wrong. Patek Cubitus looks like a Casio. This came first before release of Cubitus. Cubitus is merely a homage to multiple designs exit before its existence.

The question is,..how accurate is it in terms of step counting. Watches can vary greatly with regards to this which if not correct makes it pretty much useless

For $60 you can buy a Galaxy Fit 3 smart band, which has all the essential features of a smartwatch you'd need and that would be considered "Sci-fi" compared to any G-shock. None of the Casio watches is a "smartwatch killer", honestly, anyone who thinks any Casio can replace a smartwatch don't know what they are talking about. I say this as a proud owner of the DW-H5600. That watch is 5 times more expensive than my Galaxy Fit 3 and it has 1/50th of its features. Casio is for Casio fans (me included), but speaking objectively, comparing it to any smartwatch is laughable to say the least
