That's a very nice watch ! Good to see a 44mm watch, suitable for my 8.1" wrist, they seem to be making a lot of watches the size of a shirt button these days. A GMT version with an internal 24 hour bezel would be great on this form factor. Of course, I would dump the bracelet for a nice green leather strap! Excellent video. Just subscribed !

A compass bezel is pretty useless if you can't figure out where north is on a cloudy day. Carry a real compass, or a compass watch like the Casio SGW100 or a ProTrek. Getting lost in the mountains is generally considered to be a Very Bad Idea.

@@robertmckinlay7242 I like watches too, but I like them with complications that are useful to me. GMT, dual time, chronograph, slide rule bezel, I've used them all, but I have no use case for an Alpinist bezel, and "looks cool" is not quite good enough.

This one seeems nice, its quite similar to my new Casio edifice which is a take on Breitlings navitimer design one thing to point out tho, is the double pinned weird bracelet, not a fan of that build, also the green dial is very very dark in indoor lightning

Looks great and has a great price, but is way too large (44mm) for me. 😞 And in reality, the only adventuring I do is avoiding the copious number of pajama wearing natives at the local Walmart. Why do they always seem to have family reunions right in front of an item I need???

Cool, i like it, but the huge white day/date window on the black dial and in the 4 o'clock position must be a joke, right? That always bothered me with my dark Seiko 5s, that they didn't (always) manage to match the colors. And yes, it‘s nowhere near the wonderful alpinist (that also has a white date window).

@@elijahweaver2282 lol hey man it was just a joke! Not trying to argue. I can rephrase my original comment by saying the 44 would wear too large *for me*. There’s nothing wrong with bigger watches, and I think it’s good there are all varieties of sizes out there to fit all types of people. But Casio has made a few other models in large and smaller variants. It would be cool if they also added a smaller version of this into the collection.

I see what you're saying, and you want what you want, and a company would miss a sale if they didn't come out with smaller models. It is a large sentiment recently to request smaller models and Id hate to see larger watches fazed out because the trend is to do them smaller. Little paranoid but you can kinda see it.

I love that! Day-date at 4 is something unique I've never seen before. It leaves the full site index at 3 and to me it looks well proportioned here. A funky bit on an otherwise very symmetrical watch.

My complaint about this watch is the abnormous size with 44mm. The alpinist manages to put all these feautres + 20bar water resistance in an 38mm case AND it has a mechanical movement with 70 hours power reserve. A quartz-watch should not be THAT BIG (except G-SHOCK because it's basically it's design language). Quartz-watches are originally designed to be smaller and slimmer.

44mm!! Dammit, I want more dual-crown watches as I love them, but this is NOT what I've been waiting for. WAY too big, and nobody needs a compass bezel, make it a countdown or regular elapsed timer and it would be useful. This watch needs far too many changes to be remotely attractive to me, size being the main culprit, but the dual crown is the only draw, everything else is a miss.
