Picked one up myself. IMO this looks better than a regular G square, and is cheaper to boot! You also get a front light button, animated seconds counter, 10-year battery, and easier to press buttons than a G. I guess for G-Shock money you get an extra 100M of water resistance, mineral crystal and the better backlight(auto in some cases). I feel like the G square needs a front light button, as its hard to press in current form.

This is an odd one? I see your review. The first time i was even aware of this model! At first I thought just another budget, Casio? But I strangely started to like it ! So I started to look for it and could only find the green one. This was on sale for £39 with free post here in the UK from a reputable dealer I have used before , so I went for it and I'm glad I did! This in olive looks really nice ,and is a great outdoor activity watch, although Casio has made one for that before? Seem to remember it's called G shock??anyway this watch is cheaper, but doesn't look cheap! I do believe this is going to be a popular model,with maybe younger buyers ? Not older fans like me ? This watch checks back to their old philosophy of 10 metres water resistant, 10 year battery life , even back to an led back light,although its an improvement over the DW 5600c, we all love? So nice one Casio .

Thanks for the review, I have a W737H that is basically the same watch with a little bit different case. The other difference is it’s only $19 as opposed to close to 40 for this one.

I found MWD110 a little bit better than W737H… back light is better.. analog display on W737 is kinda too small to see..m but it’s gr8 value for money I must agree compared to 110…

Feels like they could have shrunken down the size a couple mm by eliminating the black border. It looks good but also just a bit too big

I have noticed that the first digit of hour display digit is a little bit smaller than other digits when it is in 24 hr display mode. Please see at video length 7:40 & 7:50. Is it normal?

Wow, you're right. The designer must have preferred 12-hour and not left space for a full 2. But you'll see it also on the stopwatch, which shows all zeros.

Great looking digital but such a shame the screen is not slightly recessed below the metal bezel to lessen the likelihood of scratches.

Yes, the resin glass is a hair above the bezel...so I will be careful with the watch

Looks pretty good. And I like those big numbers. But the glass is not protected, so I assume it will attract scratches like hell. Btw, why is there a different model mentioned in the description (W737HX)?

Cut a phone plastic screen protector and fit it on. Done that to all my casios and it works great
