Another nice Woody video! I have the Casio PX-S3000 at home and you really need to ask your Casio rep to send you that keyboard. But, you may also want to connect up an iPhone or iPad to the DP running "Casio Chordana Play for Piano". It makes selecting sounds, layers, splits...etc so much easier. The app won't do everything that you can do through the S3000 front panel, but it does enough to get easily to the sounds you have in your head. If you're put off by the hundreds of sounds in the S3000, just focus on the ones that you really like. There's around 24 different piano sounds each with a slightly different timbre. And that's without going into the Electric Pianos (there's 42 variations of the E. Pianos). The S3000 has most of the sounds that you'd find in the CT-X3000 61 key portable. The S3000 is like the S1000, just a lot nicer for only a couple hundred dollars more. Great video!

they have offered to send a S3000, agree you get a heck of a lot more for the extra couple hundred, represents better value for money for many players I think.

@WoodyPianoShack3 жыл бұрын
no i don't feel any weight difference, that's issue is overblown, imho the action is fine for beginners and intermediate player, comparable with p125 which I slightly prefer, feels more solid, but 515 in a different league, i feel there are some compromises in action due to the very compact design of this keyboard and shorter key lengths, as I mention on the video.

Glad you brought up the headphone volume. It is too low. Same as on the 3000 model. Output at the 1/4" outs is also too low. I would like to see all of the tones normalized from the factory.

if you like to play very softly, which does result in a lovely tone, then you will be struggling to hear the details in the sound as you play. I guess you can workaround it with mixer, headphone amp etc.
