Casio Scientific Calculator Giving Wrong Trig Answers

This is a video in my Scientific Calculator Tutorial Series. In this video, I discuss why your Casio Scientific Calculator is not giving you the correct/desired answer for trig inputs. I discuss how you change change the calculator from radian to degree mode. I also address grad mode.

Cos 45 is 1/root 3 but in my calculator it is root 2/2

My calculator is an fx-82ES PLUS, for people with similar models, try hitting the "shift" key and then hit the "mode" key. It should give you similar options as what you've seen in the video.

I have been trying to get the angle in degrees but every time I put inverse tan (9.92/-7.99) I get -51.15051784 instead of 90 degrees. I have the angles set to degrees.

hi i have a question. theres this example our teacher showed us calculating the speed with the given d=3m and t=1hr. converting the time (1hr) to seconds it becomes 3,600. now its time to compute for speed using the formula v=d/t. v=3m/3,600s using a calculator it resulted to 0.00008 but when i tried it on my calculator its result is 8.33333 and so on. how do i fix it? ive reset my calculator numerous times and have tried this video but i got the same answer as u did with the examples you gave except for the example my teacher gave so what do i do? My calculator is in degree mode but I cannot properly calculate the Law of Sines. For example, 11sin115/20 should equal approximately 29.9, but I get approximately 0.0249. Any advice?
