If you do not require the Grand Total to print: 1. Turn key to PGM 2. Arrow down to system settings and press CA/Amt Tend 3. Type 3 then Subtotal 4. Type 1622 then Subtotal 5. Type 1177 then Ca/Amt Tend 6. Press subtotal to finish Turn the key to X or Z and Press Ca/Amt tend to test. This should work.

I know this is a long shot, I've searched high and low trying to work out the INIT code for the 3500. I'm trying to get it back to a factory state. Left the batterys out for 24 hours with no power connected and it still retains the data / Dept / clerk information. Resetting by Journal feed + PGM with no luck, same with Feed + PGM with no luck. I know there is an INIT code that can be entered that will nuke everything.. A little help if possible would be grand!

Great video! It was very useful to me. I still have one problem that I cannot solve. On factory settings, the option to print multiple/post receipts is disabled. How do I enable it? I sometimes would like the option to have two copies of the same receipt. I tried: PGM 03 - 0622 - 40000 already, but I still cannot print an extra receipt. What am I overlooking?

If it’s already set the easiest way is to go to settings, tax and set the rate to 0 If you are setting up for the first time, simply don’t do the Australia Tax setup. You can also set tax on each item or department to none.

Good day to you ! I'm trying to use my Casio se-c450 exactly payment methods so when i'm trying to configure the Credit Card they told me that i have a button for that but i haven't found it could you please tell me how could i do it ?

Hi, what you need to do to configure a payment method is to: Turn the key to PGM, arrow to the bottom of the page to System Settings, type in 4 then press subtotal (should display P04), type in 4 then press the button on the keyboard you wish to allocate the Credit Card function to, then press subtotal. You can then name the key but typing 2 then subtotal, press the button you just allocated, change the text to what you would like displayed, press Ca/Amt Tend, then press subtotal. Turn the key back to the REG position and do a test sale. This should work!

Hi Kelly, You just put a name again the Department or PLU and leave it at a zero price. When using the key you enter a price (do not use decimal point) then press the Department or PLU on the keyboard. If you have any troubles just us know.

i entered '16-22' then '1111' then i realized my decimal place went back so from 1.2 to .12, i want to deactivate it

after entering 1622, just type in 0 then Ca/Amt Tend. This will clear the setting. If you want to disable the grand total from printing, you use code 1177 then press ca/amt tend.

How do I make receipt size bigger..please help

The font size is fixed. You can print the text in double height but this is only for the items so the receipt header is still the same size. If you want to print the text bold, then just press the button with dbl in its front face which will increase the text for receipt header large but remember this will act as 2 characters and not 1.

What a nightmare programming system. Totally non-intuitive.

What seems to be the issue with programming? We have may people using this guide for setting up their systems without an issue. Feel free to contact us directly on the website in the video details if you would like any further assistance. We do have alternate step by step guide. It also depends on how your cash register is setup (if not new) as they can be setup as either departments or PLU's so it may be something in relation to that as this is a straight out of the box setup.
