I just got this watch, but mine is the one with the blue dial with Arabic numerals for 3, 6 and 9 (MTP-VD01D-2B). Very nice watch. I have many watches but I don't wear most of them often and stick with just a few most of the time, and my default watch, an Invicta Pro Diver 9094OB, fell on a hard floor months ago and is currently out of commission, so right now I'm kinda seeing which watch takes its place because I can't go out and have it fixed because of the current virus situation. I feel like this Casio will take the role of the Invicta because it looks and feels similar to it, albeit with hollow links instead of solid links. Some stores sell this Casio for as high as $65 (Amazon right now) but I think the fair price is around $30, at least where I live (really depends on your country, import duties, shipping costs, etc.). I got it for a lot less than that, which makes me extra happy with the watch.

I like this watch, especially the dial. This dark blue dial reflects light radially, and the gradation changes depending on the viewing angle. If you don't care that the case material is brass, I recommend it to you.

I'm not sure about Aruba's watch, but Aruba may also have brass. As you say, the reason it is made of brass is mainly due to its price range. For example, the MTP-E400D-1AV is made of stainless steel.
