Thanks for reviewing this watch. Not too many videos about it. I ended up buying this one over the G Shock step counter because the gray one isn't in stock. This watch looks practical. Looking forward to trying out the step counter.

Hi How's the accuracy? Does it count steps when riding/driving? Is it possible to turn off step counting whole travelling?
@ArmK-f6h21 күн бұрын
@@harsh9558 Step counter accuracy is fairly good while walking but while travelling by bus/car it count extra steps and that's not the issue I guess because even the apple watch count extra steps while driving. You can also connect with bluetooth and record the path in mobile maps using gps while walking/running. Other than that, this watch size is small and looks great and fits perfectly on a small and medium wrist.

Yes, the Lap Memory modules are very well thought out. And they aren't stingy with the number of records like Timex.

Interesting watch. I’ve been ‘holding’ this watch hostage in my Amazon Cart. If a gym burns down, did that gym technically burn calories? Great review.

Could you please do a review video for the GWG-B1000 model? I'm interested in learning more about it. Thank you!
@fuloplehel6 ай бұрын
Yes, that would be nice, I have the older version gwg-1000-1a3er, this new one is smaller and have Bluetooth and other functions, and there is the GWG 2000 without the bluetooth, it's slimmer but the lug to lug dimension is bigger even than the older version. I like the GWG - B1000, more premium materials are used.

Does the BT only work for step counting or does it auto set the time and date? Can you use it to find your phone?

Hey Jim. I want to buy the h2000 all black like the one you have Tough I remember the strap being so thin. I remember it has a very very thin part which I'm afraid could break shortly. I don't know about the durability of the whole watch. How has it held up so far? Is it durable? How long have you had it for?😊
@georgeg19476 ай бұрын
I own the same gbd-h2000 model and it’s very durable and very light and comfortable on my wrist. I also own the gpr-h1000 Rangeman. Both models have the same module inside them. I like the Rangeman much better because it has mud resistant buttons. The gas-h2000 doesn’t. Other than that, both models are excellent watches. I wear my Rangeman 24/7. Also, the battery life in both watches is phenomenal. I’ve owned the Rangeman for over 1+ months now and it has 3 bars on the battery level. It only went down 1 bar from 4 bars to 3 bars in 5 weeks.

A step counter is awesome, but I stopped wearing my GBD800 and went back to my GWM5610 and started using a step counter app on my phone, because the square is just a better watch for me.
@JimKinkade2 ай бұрын
What do you think about the DW-H5600?
@KopperRook2 ай бұрын
@JimKinkade I'll be honest, I love G Shocks, but I think brands like Garmin do better from a fitness perspective; their software is better, and they were designed from the ground up to be a fitness watch, while at their core a G Shock is a tool watch adapted to be a fitness watch. A fitness watch is way too specialized for my needs, I just need to count steps, and not even with 100% accuracy, 97% or so accuracy is plenty good for my needs. I need a durable, reliable watch more than I need a fitness watch, or to know my heart rate and the other things fitness watches do.

Did you set the stride in the app? By inputting your hight and weight, it uses that info to figure out close to really accurate
@JimKinkade5 ай бұрын
When I connected it to the Casio Watches app it automatically imported my physical profile.
@richt18155 ай бұрын
@JimKinkade sometimes I reset the stride on the watch not the app to make sure it's using my settings.

Step counters are flawed in their very tech you cant get them very accurate as they are usually to sensitive or to restrictive as it is basically an impact/shock sensor to get an accurate count. Just use gps and distance traveled and if you need steps for some reason calculate steps from that.
