I believe it was the spring of 1983 as I remember Minoru Mukaiya talking about the Photograph album having just been released. My band mates and I went to see them playing at the Yamaha Centre then located in Nakanoshima, Sapporo, Japan. As we were hanging around the centre, looking at keyboards and other instruments on display, the members of Casiopea found us and began talking to us in a very friendly way - just before the concert. They were in their 20s and we were 14 years old. I remember bugger-all of what we talked about. But we had our jackets autographed by the Casiopea members. Of course, being ordinary school boys, we did not speak English back then. And little did we know then that this band would later become so well-known in many parts of the world! Here I am living in an English-speaking country, reading all these comments, many of which coming from countries other than Japan, makes me so happy! It’s been 40 years since I saw them. But I can still listen to and ‘see’ them on KZbin. Not only that I can even leave comments that I know someone somewhere in the world might get to read. Thanks, internet. Thanks, KZbin. And thanks, Casiopea.

I love how Londoners have been so welcoming and open hearted to Japanese musicians for all these decades. From Casiopea to Perfume, all genres and all great music performers and entertainers. What a great opener to use Asayake! Usually used as a closer or encore song, it's an uplifting song to use open with to get the audience energized. Bravo!

This live video is amazing and sums up the best of their heyday. Now, just by looking at this, we can see that they were super members, one of the rare super bands on the planet. Can't we hope to remaster this footage and reissue it as a BD? Time never goes back, the glow disappears only in that moment. I was a fan from their 3rd album "Make up City", and I think that their goodness was not only the quality of their playing technique, but also the fact that the songs were consistently good and that there were two members who could compose outstanding songs formed the goodness of Cassiopeia as a unit. One and only A moment of brilliance that cannot be replaced by any other. Don‘t forget forever that they had a special night that made London burn crazy.
